  1. Managed to get off for a couple of hours Rid, so the day not totally wasted, took in Broomhill Sports v Edinburgh Uni at a very wet Lochburn Pk. Not a bad result for the Jags at Highbury.
  2. Aye that's the one.....as grey as the weather they've forecast tomorrow.
  3. Ill not be there Jags on Tour....up on the Clyde for the weekend showing the public round our Ship!!!Were berthed near the Transport museum. In the Victoria on Dumbarton Rd at the mo,prob do a few more...gotta keep out of this rain!!!Enjoy fella's
  4. Jims Bar has always been ale only. Theres a chippy across the road from the ground 'Highbury Chippy' its average, the best ones are in town, the Lord St Chippy or the Granada Chippy (gets my vote) run by an ex Show Bizz Giant in the music industry.Usual bog standard catering in the ground unless you opt for one of them VIP package deals....where you get decent food but not enough of it.Theres an Aldis store close to the ground for a 'carry out' for the return journey and the No 14 bus (most regular bus service to Blackpool) runs from outside it to Blackpool North, stopping near the train station...unless your opting for a taxi. Deduns in town serves a decent pint....cant remember its real name though. The Weatherspoons isnt far either, (the Thomas Drummond)...only two stops past the ground but well within walking distance....just follow the tram track..
  5. If you do get the tram and cant remember the stop to get off, there's a new sign saying 'Stanley Road for Fleetwood Town FC'.If you do over shoot your stop, the tram turns round five stops later,at the ferry and you can have another go at getting off on the Southbound run back to Blackpool. The start of town is the next stop after Stanley Rd (Ash Street)...if you get there early and want a pint in town.Enjoy your trek to the Fleetwood Riviera.
  6. Caught the last 10 minutes of The Glens game with Sudbury today 2-2, gutted as I was at work doing bugger all,all afternoon but they insisted I stay till 4.15pm. Noticed the Welders Club today and another pub just beyond it at the junction......was on the tredder so didnt indulge in a bevvy.
  7. Cheers Lady Isobel, looking forward to it.
  8. I hope to be there, arrive Belfast Saturday...just need time off work, but working on it. Is it a full first team the Jags are sending???
  9. Not sure if it's been announced on your forum but Fleetwood v The Jags will be £12 Adults and £8 Concessions.(from FTFC website). Cheaper watching Maryhill and having a few bevvies.
  10. Hello Mr Wragg........ In reply to your question...Fleetwoods my team but to be honest I enjoy Groundhopping to much to put my loyalties on one Club. There's nothing better than taking in a Junior or Non League game as neutral, for good honest football.....you can keep your English Premier League. There's a good forum on the 'non league matters' website and they all speak well of their trips north of the border in the Where did you go section.
  11. Hello Joe,,,,,,Yes my badge made Wembley the other week!! More than I did we were at sea off Devon. Hope life's treating you & the lads well, we'll be up the Clyde soon for a visit.
  12. Enjoy your trip to the Fleetwood Riviera, can look half decent when the suns out. Spent a number of years up Partick, we were put up at Glasgow Harbour whilst they built our Ship down at Scotstoun, met some decent folk up there including the Maryhill manager (top bloke) who worked in the Yard. Went up Firhill a few times (even bought the shirt) but concentrated on the 'Juniors' especially around May when you could watch a game every night of the week as they played catch up. Off to Pollok this Sat for the Evening Times Cup Final where the Talbot take on the mighty Neilston. Have a great trip down fella's, hope it dosent get to messy in the Buffet Carriage.
  13. Moved to Grangemouth according to our FTFC website, due to possibility of a good turn out by the fans.
  14. http://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/News/latestnews.php?subaction=showfull&id=1306424710&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1& Been posted on our Main Site we are due to play the Mighty Jags on JULY 9TH, is that likely to be at Firhill or one of the Junior grounds/training pithes? Micky Mellon is our Manager, from Paisley I believe.Looking forward to the game if I can get time off for it,pity I'm not still working down Scotstoun.
