  1. Really disappointed at this development. This is sure to affect the momentum toward promotion and the uncertainty about the future management team will affect results.
  2. If I remember correctly, a change strip was only worn when there was a clash of colours. The only alternative strip Thistle wore in my younger days was an all white strip or the dark blue when we played Motherwell or Aberdeen or any other clubs whose colours clashed. There was no such thing as a "Home" or "Away" strip. The team wore the club colours at all times unless the above happened. It should also be stated that when there was a clash of colours, the home team changed their strip as a courtesy to the visiting team.
  3. I like it but I thought our colours were Red, Yellow and Black. We seem to be seeing a lot of this Black and Purple change strip so far this season. Let's see at least one player in Red and Yellow on the homepage.
  4. I didn't realise the sound from the North Stand was being relayed to the speakers in the JHS. It took a while for the ringing in my ears to die down after the racket at half time. I would urge those responsible to reduce the volume or take the top end down and add some bass. Maybe a better PA system is required; or at least better speakers.
  5. I think we all agree that Regan should go. As far as the bigotry and evil intent between both sides of the Old Firm is concerned, this has its roots in the end of the Nineteenth century when Celtic's Irish Catholic identity was countered by Rangers' Protestant, Orange support. Partick Thistle have always provided an alternative to that; let's keep it that way and keep out of their petty, hateful arguments.
  6. After watching the Brechin v Rangers game yesterday, I don't think Falkirk have anything to worry about. We, on the other hand, need to take each game as it comes. I've been following the Jags too long to start talking of cup finals based on who has gone out of, or who is left in competitions we're still involved in. On a good day we can match the best in our game but we all know what happens when we have a bad one.
  7. If we play well, score goals, win more home games and compete at the top of the Division for a place in the SPL; crowds will increase.
  8. With all these agreements and arrangements going on, this must indicate that Sevco have satisfied the criteria for gaining membership to the SFA. How did they manage that?
  9. SPL clubs have agreed they will work with the SFA, the SFL and Sevco to facilitate Rangers FC taking their place in SFL3.
  10. Dundee have been invited to take Ranger's place in the SPL.
  11. The statement on the club's website states " the clubs voted NO to Sevco Scotland Limited being admitted into the 1st Division and are subsequently been given (sic) access to Division 3". There is no indication in the statement as to how the Partick Thistle Board voted. I find this omission rather worrying and I fear that our board were one of the five that voted for Sevco to come into SPL1. I hope I'm proved wrong when more details become available.
  12. This Rangers newco, SPL and SFL shambles needs to end tomorrow. Newco into SFL 3; Dunfermline to stay in SPL and proper League reorganisation discussed and planned over the coming season for introduction in season 2013-14 or 14-15.
  13. The SFA and the SPL has left the clubs in the SFL in a situation which, when they vote Rangers newco into the 3rd Division on Friday, will give them a scapegoat for any financial problems that result from that decision. This situation was not of the SFL's making, and yet our club (along with all other SFL members) is being told that we could be responsible for puting six top flight clubs at risk depending on Friday's vote. Have I missed something?
