  1. One of the biggest worries to me is how poorly planned this squad looks. We're essentially going to be doing to biggest rebuild in years with around 6 starters required as well as depth in every position. After this summer I'm not sure I trust Doolan or the club to do this properly. Of his signings how many could be called a success? I wouldn't say any, although McBeth, Robinson and O'Reilly may become so but large uncertainty on all.
  2. If anyone at the club ever said this they should be hounded out the place. A couple of weeks in which practically zero transfers are conducted is not going to make our squad stronger.
  3. This narrative about the target not being relegated is in my opinion complete defeatist nonsense. We have one of the highest budgets in the league which is factually the single biggest indicator on league position. Despite losing players still have a number who were stars in a side who could have won the league last season. Our new signings weren't last minute panic buys nor where they cheap players noone else would touch; a Rangers loanee who was a starter for team who won the league last year, three(?) midfielders who played in the side who won the league two years ago, a defender who signed for decent money to Hearts and played a number of games in the top league last year and a striker who was one of the leagues top scorers two years back.
  4. When he came in Doolan brought a freshness to the team, shaking off the stagnation under McCall and having us play some very exciting football. However in my opinion, this season, recruitment has been dreadful and we have become very predictable in our style, with reliance primarily on Fitzpatrick, Graham, and Lawless. Despite a crowded midfield, none are up to par for a team aiming to compete at the top of the league. Our central defense is shocking. I'm no fan of Muirhead but he was signed as our fourth choice centre back last year. January's transfer window was an opportunity to address squad deficiencies, but instead, we've worsened. O'Reilly, our "big" signing, has hardly had a shot and now is injured, while the other two aren't at sufficient quality. McBeth might get there but the step from juniors to this level is massive (look how long it took Doolan and Erskine to get up to speed and they were playing in less physically demanding positions) Looking ahead, next season looks like a potentially very weak division but Im afraid I don't trust Doolan to build a team to take the chance. If changes are made I wouldn't want Graham. While I appreciate the women's team's efforts and am really looking forward to attending their final, it's incomparable to the men's tram. Comparatively, managers like Rhys McCabe and Dougie Imrie have excelled in building teams with clear identities on limited budgets at this level.
  5. I think though and as cruel as it may be if he can't shine at that level at his age, irrespective of his build, it is hard to see how he how could ever be a success at our level. Not trying to be negative and I really hope he is a success there and comes back with next season ready to kick on with us.
  6. Pity he couldn't have got a better move than back to the lowest level where he unfortunately did fail at a few years ago. Good luck to him but you feel he'll need to do very well there to show he has a chance of making it at our level.
  7. Watched along on iPlayer and very proud of the team. Fantastic achievement, I really hope to be able to see them in the final in March in the flesh Great weekend all round for everyone at the club
  8. I am always generally deeply suspicious of people who seem to have nothing positive to say and only negativity. I admire Woodstock Jag for always responding as I imagine it is being done in his spare time and that the effort involved to respond to one person is completely disproportionate. Challenge and debate is good and welcome but I reading this just makes me frustrated. I don't see any effort to help or give constructive opinions just snipes and ambiguous statements. I'm a member of TJF, I've not agreed with everything they have done but am overall very happy with how they are operating. I don't really understand how you could actively be against them.
  9. A very poor display albeit against a decent opponent. I have zero inside facts but I'd be very surprised if we didn't have the second highest wage bill in this league yet I struggle to see the worth of the money we have spent. Our signings have been, almost to a man very poor, and we look a shadow of the team which finished last season. I hope Doolan can turn it around but I confess to fearing he can't and I also fear about the state of our off field affairs.
  10. I would still like answers to these points. The £400k claim is also one I believe we need some communication around. It is highly unfortunate that we are mere months into this new situation and we are back to boardroom squabbles, back door deals and uncertainty. I want to, and am minded to support, this investment but I do think there is enough rumours and grey areas that we are owed more information. I also don't believe this is encroaching into the "fan run" v "fan owned" debate.
  11. I welcome the investment and the communication TJF I do have concerns however regarding lack of consultation on this. We are told that this couldn't be done as "initial investment has needed to be done at pace, because of the well trailed cashflow challenges faced by the Club" Can TJF provide clarity on when this investment opportunity was brought to their intention and also what near term cashflow challenges we faced that wouldn't have allowed for any consultation.
  12. What about TJFs sponsorship of the Women's team?
  13. Think I'm done now until they are all gone. Will continue to pay into TJF and look forward to the EGM
  14. I'm led to believe I am a member of the PTFC Trust due to being a season ticket holder for a good long while. I, and I believe I am not alone in this, have had zero communication from them either to say I am a member or update of any kind. Should they be the party gifted the shares is there anything as members we can do? Do we have power to call EGM, force elections, anything at all? If not, why not?
  15. I've cancelled my Jagzone and emailed club to say so as well that I won't be spending any more money including upcoming hospitality days I was in the process of booking
  16. Appreciate putting this together. Still trying to come to terms with all the revelations in there but can only express sympathy with all the board members, particularly Sandy and Andrew, for clearly being taken for a ride these past months. The "final meeting" section not only upset me from a professional perspective but from a human being one. I look forward to reading more discussion on here through the day
  17. I was trying to explain to a friend there how we got into this situation and trying to remember chronologically was too much for me! It feels an age ago that the rumours of the Chinese billionaire / Moneyball guy buying the club started circulating that got the ball rolling. Is anyone able to give a rough timeline of the big moments?
  18. Really hard to see what comes next from here but look forward to reading more from TFJ who have made a very good impression with me since the change in board (although it looks potentially as if the old board were being quite shamelessly strung along by 3BC) I will continue to pay into TJF, put trust in board and plan to attend the EGM. I will be happy to volunteer some of my time and any skills I have that can help moving forward.
  19. Anyone had any luck with this today? Tried entering the code in checkout at the app for and Adult All Day at all of Glasgow City, Glasgow Local and Glasgow network and get a message saying there is no promotion with that code
  20. Will it be possible to provide a summary of changes in relation to this?
  21. Firstly well done to those elected, kudos to anyone with the drive to stand for this and for the time they are willing to commit. Is there anyway of seeing who I had voted for or for the "manifesto" of the candidates? As a bit of background I was a paid member of the foundation from day 1 and happily signed the open letter. However, I must confess to being rather trepidatious about the self-appointed "Jags for Change" block however, particularly with them dominating the posts. My feeling is we don't need yet more splinter groups in the support and I don't understand why their candidates couldn't have stood on their own personal statements and views. How did one become a member of Jags for Change? Is it an open group for others to join? Where other candidates given the opportunity to join the group? Are they intending to act as a collective in the Board and therefore push through anything they decide? I want the best for my club and come with no knowledge of any of the individuals involved with the Foundation, either in the past or now, but, rightfully or wrongfully, this does leave a slight sour taste in my mouth. I am more than happy to be proven wrong in this and understand more.
  22. I had casted this to the TV for the Airdrie game but don't seem to have that option this time annoyingly
  23. Feeling really down after that. For some reason had a bit of optimism for the season with it feeling like potentially a bit of a refresh, the hope of winning most games and winning a league. However the three league games have really knocked that. I don't like the way we are playing, there appears a real lack of any identity and style with this team which is just a follow on last few years. Not going to call for McCall to go but if it doesn't improve soon then hard to see how we can continue.
  24. Problem solved thanks! They should really make this obvious on the page somewhat because they are absolutely identical
