Now im a big fan of Doolan, I think he adds a lot. I don't however think his attributes necessarily compliment our style of play. While he is an excellent finisher with both feet, he isn't the best in the air. The way we are playing so far this season we are exploiting the width provided by ATS and SOD and are getting a lot of balls into the box.

Fraser and Osbourne are both better than Paton

He was pretty big for an under 20 and looked like he coped well with the Arthurlie centre forward. I also thought the trialist up front did quite well. He looked pacy and put himself about.

I popped along to watch it as I haven't been able to make any of the preseason games. There were a few decent moments but in the whole I thought it was a fairly poor game. It was a bit of a challenge for the young guys against a big, physical junior side. I thought that David Wilson looked comfortable on the ball, as was Lee Gallacher and McDaid who took his goal pretty well. After Liam Lyndsey went off they looked a bit shakey at the back and his replacement who came on looked decidedly nervy. I was impressed by the other centre half, number 4, not sure who he was.

Santala was pretty decent actually.
