  1. I did wonder. The Council's twitter have said 6pm to 10pm is only from April but they might have it wrong
  2. Interesting. Council website says the change only starts from April https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=61595&p=0
  3. Kirkland Street for me. The signs (which I went to find in the dark after getting a ticket) said only free after 10pm. Must be a new thing?
  4. Bring a friend? More like alienate an acquaintance.
  5. Worth adding that not all wing play is created equal. At the tail end of last season, the pacy, driven ball across the six yard line was hugely productive for us. Teams hated it. It's very hard to defend, particularly when compared to 'bread and butter' crosses at head-height, where any defensive glance is usually enough to nullify danger. If we can get back to that driven cross with well-timed runs, we'll get the rewards.
  6. Seems like no new injuries so expect the same 11 and happy with that. Agree that a draw feels likely. QP are fairly resurgent and are back to getting a decent return from a reasonably good squad.
  7. I agree. He got a bit more frustrating in a few moments as the game went on, but was fairly even handed and it made for an enjoyable contest.
  8. I'd once again be flabbergasted if Doolan makes any changes other than to cover injury, but for me: Mitchell has to start in goals. McMillan - Muirhead or Williams* - Neilson - Milne McBeth - Stanway Robinson Lawless - Fitzy BBG. *= O'Reilly would be a shoo-in if fit. Neilson is tolerable at left CB and will have to do. I'm tempted to put Williams in because he'd be on his preferred right-side - I think some of his shakier moments may have been trying to play on the left of central defence? But CB is the biggest worry I have for tomorrow. In midfield, McInroy is too often a passenger and Bannigan isn't cutting it at the moment. And for me, Robinson has much more about him than McInroy or Alston by a mile.
  9. Right, who had "Socratic logic" on their Thistle Patter bingo cards? 😁
  10. That was a proper "Why did I spend £20 to do that?" kind of night
  11. I'd be (pleasantly) gobsmacked if Doolan makes those changes. He doesn't, by and large, drop players because of form, only injury.
  12. And perhaps the title of my memoirs as a Thistle fan...
  13. I could see the logic in sticking with Aero up until now because O'Reilly would have been cup-tied against County, and you don't want to chop and change in central defence too much. But I'd really like to see him start this one.
  14. Surely the appropriate punishment is mandatory 100% attendance at Firhill for 20 years minimum. That'll show them!
  15. I also never really understood the furore when he left. He blew very hot and cold, with a lot of cold.
  16. The Draw Lose or Draw podcast suggested McBeth is cup tied too
  17. I don't disagree with your suggestions, but making quite a few changes would be very un-Doolan-like. He appears to strongly value consistency in team selection and thinks it makes it easier for players to know their roles as mentioned in various Jagzone interviews. He doesn't seem to drop players because of their form, at all - only for injury (including senior players returning from injury or to stop square pegs in round holes such as Wasiri filling in at LB). Personally I think sticking with a losing team a la the side that lost to Dundee United is a mistake, and sends out a very poor message, but the team did win the following fixture (albeit scrappily at times), so go figure... I'd really like to see McBeth, O'Reilly and Robinson starting, and a good bit of game time for James Lyon. Alston, McInroy and Muirhead could all do with being benched imo. Not averse to rotating the srikers too. But as I said, I don't expect it. (PS doesn't all this belong in a RC match thread, or do we all have the fear?)
  18. Last year, it looked like Morton’s Rolls would soon be a thing of the past (coat is already on…)
  19. Another very good shout. Wages potentially an issue but would welcome him back.
  20. If and when we lose McMillan, which we will at some point, I’d like to see us try for Carson at ICT. I’ve never seen him play less than 8 out of 10 for them.
  21. I had a reply typed out for this, but then I remembered I'll first need to post you the receipt for my laptop and the title deeds for the house I typed it in. Sent them recorded post so they should arrive at the Meldrew household first thing tomorrow.
  22. Another director away. I'm sure these things don't happen on purpose but there's been a real lack of boardroom stability for quite a while now. That said, the timing/justification makes outward sense and I'm looking forward to the ship being a bit steadier after the AGM https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/pre-agm-update-douglas-mccrea/
  23. Or Raith suspect he isn't quite good enough for the top flight, and are a lot more confident of getting promoted than we are.
