  1. Has anyone got any info on supporters Buses for the Ayr game?
  2. With Milne out that should be an opportunity for the youth players to make their mark i.e Zander MacKenzie.
  3. That was utter mince. Its easy to forget sometimes that playing football is their profession. You can accept the odd poor touch or misplaced pass, but to do it consistently throughout the full game is inexcusable. Honestly, the Brownlie (an absolute bomb scare) mistake was symptomatic and summed our slackness up. He looks like he's wearing concrete slippers as does a few of his team mates. Slow and laboured is probably the best description. Doolan stated before the game that we had been on a good run and kept a few clean sheets, we have also not scored in our last three games now. It has shades of last season as we stuttering over the line to finish fourth. You wonder what might have been this season as there havent been any outstanding opponents either.
  4. Controversial I know, but I dont think I would extend Banzo or Doc's contracts.
  5. There was me worried we couldnt afford a manager either
  6. Doolan will be getting an uplift in wages for being the interim manager The way some on here are going on about the clubs financial problems is like we are on the brink. I dont know as to what the budgets are as do anyone on this forum of speculation. Its the club boards responsibility to figure out what funds are available. We dont need two assistants for a start
  7. Neil Lennon is a Partick Thistle man. Sure he lives in the West End too......... always had a soft spot for Partick........ 😂
  8. The inverness boys at my work are far from happy with Billy Dodds and wish their board had the hee haws to relieve him of his duties
  9. I think the disruption to train services to Ayr would have also been a factor. Brilliant result yesterday. Another two difficult fixtures coming up but we'll have BBG coming back
  10. Cant argue with much of that to be honest. The signing of Tiffoney probably saved him from the sack when we were in the league below. Ian Holloway would make an interesting appointment..........
  11. As has been mentioned before, it might have been better if McCall was kept on in a scouting/DOF role, however that comes at a cost which apparently we dont have
  12. You forgot to mention that we are one point outside the Play Off Zone
  13. They probably have looked at it objectively and thought we wont get promoted with the status quo. Your repeated logic that we are a point off the play-offs, with the fixtures coming up, do you think we would have still been a point off the play-offs with the status quo? We have had some high scoring wins which has seen us go from Brazil one week to Brechin the next. Its only acceptable if your ambition is to remain in the championship.
  14. We have won as many games as we have lost. To be perfectly honest, it hasnt been good enough. If you cant beat a Cove Rangers team who have been generally the whipping boys over 3 games then you deserve to walk.
  15. On the point about receiving money from the 3BC's. Correct me if I'm wrong here. The 3BC's was the company setup by Colin Weir with his money. Jackie Low and one other were put in charge. He passed away leaving them basically 'beneficiaries'. So if £300,000 was promised to PTFC and not given then they have trousered the dough and disappeared into the sunset. Might be wrong but it sounds about right
  16. What does Queens Park have to do with Hamilton and Cove Rangers taking 10 points off us at Firhill?
  17. It must have been really bad, even the corner flag has shrunk. Good luck to that man with the leaf blower, an expensive waste of petrol. Just wait till Greta Thunberg sees that
  18. I cant believe we have managed to find ourselves in this position. Its poor planning/management. Dont know how much of a difference the Dunfermline game will make. I wouldnt be surprised if we have budgeted to make the final to break even.
  19. The line that stood out to me was the development of the old South terracing. I really hope this isn't another gimmick along the lines of gnomes we had previously. Developing the ground is down the list of priorities however, with the clamour for standing areas in recent years throughout football in this country, returning it back to open standing terracing like it was before shouldnt cost a great deal surely. Couple of bags of cement and a few safety barriers.
  20. A year ago, Akinola was a decent prospect and looked fairly solid. He never recovered from that harsh red card against Airdrie. You wonder how in that time he regressed rather than improved. A strong central midfielder (as has been mentioned) that Queens Park have on loan needs to be our priority along with a central defender. I hope that we dont get ourselves into the same position like we did last season with Rudden with some of our players out of contract.
  21. Partick Thistle 3-0 Kelty Hearts | Highlights | Scottish Cup Third Round 2022-23 - YouTube Watch the way the referee skips over to the red card incident. Straight out of one of they Christmas football videos of what happens next.
  22. I would say bring back Jackie Mac, but that would just lead to the usual jobs for the boys act. We need an off-field clear out from top to bottom. We pumped Morton, they sorted themselves out and went on a decent run after. We get pumped and resort to playing a craig leveinesk 6-2-2 and continue to get pumped. In my job, if you seeing someone about to attempt something stupit, you intervene. Our two 'Assistants' are yes men that put cones down on a patch of grass. Not good enough. Time is up for them. Use the Aberdeen income to pay them off. We are going nowhere with these eejits in charge.
  23. We played all our defence and still conceded 4 goals. The most amount of goals conceded in the league yet amazingly a point off the top. I can't wait to see a fully fit Brownlie as apparently he's meant to be decent
  24. When you see that team on paper, then I definitely overrated the depth of our squad earlier in the season. McCall rates or rated Brownlie as one of the best defenders in the division. I would compare him to Tam O'Ware, stood by him hoping he would come good. After nearly 3 years you have to wonder when he will be moving onto a team like Forfar because we can't afford to keep wasting wages on guys like that
