Firstly, I’m calm about McCall being appointed if that happens but I can’t predict the future to know whether he would be successful or not. but let’s be clear…..ex players and managers going into SD roles is a well trodden path in football ……so that’s normal. yes he has his coaching badges as I understand it. i think most of us think mccalls record in identifying players is pretty good and that he knows Scottish football.

You have to laugh …..we have never had a sporting director before but I know McCall will be terrible …..I also know someone I’ve never heard of will be a great manager ……I mean no one here can predict who will be a successful manager

Ok…..let’s be clear this phrase has been used by the Likud Party in Israel itself to describe their goal of taking over current and former Palestinian land. I assume they are not anti semetic. But does that make them anti Palestinian or anti Muslim ? the outrage here is designed to conflate criticism of the actions of the Israeli govt with anti semitism with the goal of stifling criticism of their actions in Gaza and the West Bank. Nothing has been wrong here in expressing an opinion except the highly offended have decided to be offended.

Didn’t mccall invest in the technology that measured players distances etc during games? there is not much new these days in football but some clubs actually weight players weekly , give them diet guidelines and monitor them etc wonder what our sports scientists are actually doing

The number of jobs people get approached on is well not the same as being offered is it ?! I can imagine the club sounding out lots of potential through their agents etc it’s a leap from that to being offered the job, accepting the job and being announced as the new manager which is what you said and are now backtracking from.
