    Those highlights were entertaining throughout.

Entertaining and free. I’d be in favour of the TJF sponsoring this program, as the East Fife supporters association do, so that highlights and interviews could be free for Jags fans worldwide. Obviously I have zero idea if this is financially feasible. 😇

  2. Just a gentle reminder that the great defender of all things Thistle, jj, was desperately flogging the idea that we should turn into a feeder club for Barnsley and Nice a few years back.

I never understood at the time why he was prosecuting this case so vehemently, but I always wondered if he stood to financially gain personally if it went through.

Given we are forecasting £150k of losses and are being supported by TJF to the tune of £175K per year or the Trading losses would be £300K + then you have to allocate the available budget to your Core Business Activity

That applies to any Non Core Activity - not just the Woman's Team we have to stop the Trading losses and break even

I’ll take that as a no.

So, to get this straight, you want us to expand our fan base by stopping funding the women’s and youth set ups. Hmm, I can see some inconsistency here.

And please don’t quote what Lambie said or did, it’s irrelevant in 2024. As you increasingly seem to be yourself.

It depends on the objectives as a Club - factoring in our limited resources

First objective is Promotion then push onto trying to get into Europe

If you have available cash then its money into the Recruitment and improve that side as its key to our future

After that if you have cash then you can afford to put it into non core parts of the Club

The decision is do you want success on the Park and Playing in Europe

So you don’t support the money the Board allocate to the women’s team? Just want to clarify that.

Have we ever had a striker who has scored as many goals as  Graham  in the 6 yard  ox?

I don't have figures but my impression is that the majority of his goals are scored from within the 6 yard box.

    I can't recall anyone !

His current manager scored a few from that range. 😉

  6. Given his vigorous prosecution of the case for venture capitalists to buy the club a few years back, the fact that JJ is now all about financial rigour and transparency amuses me no end.

Perhaps cynically I sometimes wonder if “fan ownership” is, to a degree, a bit “smoke and mirrors”.

Does the average fan feel any more connected with the club safe in the knowledge that fellow fans are looking after the best interests of the club on behalf of all fans?

I do. But more importantly I also now trust that the board isn’t going to sell off the club and any assets to an unknown venture capitalist.

who in a fan owned club should decide if potential investment is acceptable or not ? And who should know the broad outlines of what’s being proposed? And how should this shared with nominal fan owners?

Looking forward to your nomination for the TJF Board at the next election.

Yes, it’s available now for £100 although I don’t recall mention of it.

There should be a banner for it when you go to https://tv.ptfc.co.uk

It’s a weird navigation process, so if you have any questions feel free to DM me.

The stream itself has been a bit flaky the first two games, bogged down by tech issues.

Many thanks, not sure how I missed that? Old age and red wine maybe.

Short answer is no. GDPR prevents this, as consent given to contact season ticket holders in relation to their purchase of a season ticket doesn't then transfer to consent to be contacted by third parties, without separate consent.

Would TJF consider asking the Board to communicate with season ticket holders and seek explicit consent to receive communication from TJF? Surely this would be our core constituency?

He referenced “investment from America”.  I mean, I’m flattered….but I’ve only done the monthly to TJF and the new kit purchase….  😜

One of Jordanhill Jags beloved private equity firms must be back in the picture. 😆
