  1. This is a very, very early match thread. Doomed, I tell you, doomed.
  2. An update on streaming for exiles like me and sneaky VPN users.
  3. Great first half, a second half of shitey sclaffs out the park now please.
  4. Signed up to Dundee TV to watch tonight then got told I had to go out tonight. FFS.
  5. One thing I’ve enjoyed seeing so far this season, albeit from highlights, is a willingness to attack through the middle and with passes along the ground. It’s annoyed me in previous seasons that we seemed intent on getting it wide for a cross into the box at every single opportunity. With decent wing backs and wingers surely this will drag defences wide and give us more opportunity to attack through the middle?
  6. If we don’t win this by at least four goals and McCall and Archie don’t arrive at a solution to catastrophic global ecological collapse, then I’m not sure what we stand for as a football club anymore.
  7. ‘Tiff has his hands full getting into our team.’
  8. Saw them in Australia around the time of Save The Jags and I suggested they play a benefit gig and the mouthy drummer, not Brendan, gave me pelters about being a Thistle supporter. Was very happy when he got sacked a album or so later. Can we please sign someone young and outrageously talented soon please?
  9. Have a quick glance at the Ayr thread.
  10. Anyone not ‘up for this’ has lost the right to be called a Thistle fan. Feck off with your McCall issues. Feck off with your weird fascination with Low. Feck off with your sectarian shite about the players. I’d give my right nad to be there tonight, so, just for me, have one extra splenetic burst at a fake Thistle player, one extra wholehearted cheer for the actual Thistle players, one vein-popping tirade at the overtly cheating ref. Do this for the mighty Jags diaspora of which I’m proud to be just one part of. (*this forum has turned me into a slightly maddened happy clapper. )
  11. Please add my name to this, Gavin Williams. And feck it, my son’s too, Archie Williams.
  12. There’s some benefit to contracting Covid and bring in isolation…this will be my third live (virtual) match in seven days. Given the tightrope we’re walking, with no margin for error to top the league, a good start and early goal is imperative. Having said that, credit to the team, players and management, for staying the course on Friday night when it would have been easier to settle for a draw. Jacubiak for the Rangersy guy would be the only change I’d make to the starting 11, keep Turner fresh for later in the match if needed. Into them Jags.
  13. Some of your posts here are a bit dopey though.
  14. On an unrelated note, I’m watching my little team, Leicester, playing and their pitch seems to be covered in all this weird green stuff. Anyone know what it is?
  15. So what do we do if go up? Is McCall, after (putatively) winning two successive promotions, the person to lead us in the Premiership? Has he ever managed a team in the top flight. Having said all this, being a part-owner of a team playing in the top level would be fun.
  16. Wasn’t Docherty’s best game imho. Genuine question for those that see games live, are Brannigan and Docherty too similar players for the team to go up this year? Bonus question…if we did fluke a promotion this year, would it be a year too early? Could any longer term progress, whatever that looks like, be derailed by going up without a Premiership capable squad? How many of this team would feature in it?
  17. Jacubiak was good when he came on.
  18. You beauty. Enjoy your Friday night Jags.
  19. My wish is for the shitiest goal of all time, scrambled in from a corner, three points and then to completely forget about this game.
  20. Pretty stuff? Pitch is killing the game.
