  1. They chased shadows, couldn't keep the ball and offered no attacking threat at all.
  2. Yes, plenty of positives to take from today. We just didn't get the rub of the green. The lads will work hard in training. Its a harsh lesson. If we can take our chances. zzzzzzz......
  3. Even if archie keeps us up through the play-offs. I'd can him for someone with experience. Hes not learning at all, 18 points dropped from winning positions I heard them say on radio clyde. Someone with a track record at this level or down south.
  4. Cheers to Christie Elliott for the two goals against Airdrie, but he is hopeless and continually plays even ahead of Lawless who has contributed good stuff at times. Same for Craigen, don't rate him at all. The change in team bringing those two on for Erskine and Higginbotham was drastically poor.
  5. Still believe Archie deserves the season, but relegation back to the 1st division would set the club on another long period in the lower leagues. There is no chance we'd win promotion from that league next year. League is very poor, and the home form lately simply unacceptable. The league Lambie kept us up in was one with a strong old firm, and the rest of the clubs spending decent money compared to this watered down imitation with no Rangers, Hearts broke and the majority of others living within their means.
  6. If the long term ambition of the club is signing St. Mirren scrubs and failing to stay up in a league as weak as it ever has been, and you could almost say the same for the league below with Dumbarton in a play off spot, then they can shove it. Theres nothing worth buying into. Plenty of time for the management team, the players and the board to change that though...
  7. Today is the first time I've began to seriously question the manager's capability.
  8. Not acceptable at all. Really wondering if Archie has the ability to effectively change the tactics. No vocal leaders or motivators in the team. No idea who was "captain" today but nobody speaks or makes an effort to organise the team on the park. Fell to bits at the end, nobody was moving and we were just kicking the ball anywhere. Squad just isn't good enough either. Conrad is hopelessly out his depth at this level.Christie I'm not even sure would start for some first division teams. Conrad wasn't even under a lot of pressure today and just looked so nervy and cumbersome with loose balls or any time the ball was in the air. Not sure with Mair yet, but is St. Mirren rejects basically all we can afford? Thats why we've spent years doing nothing in the lower leagues, no ambition at all. Gallacher done well right enough. Not acceptable Archie. No home wins in a really poor league. No Rangers, Hearts a mess, a terrible Killie team etc....
  9. Bachirou is still there, Hardie is flopping a division below, McDonald is doing okay granted, and the behind the scenes stuff only exists because the team is struggling, they spent a lot of money in the summer again and during the early months on Novo and Reid, like they often do. Thistle don't even run hospitality every match, well they didn't last season, or the season before. Ross County have executive boxes and corporate suites running the length of two stands full nigh on every game. They have one other team to compete with in terms of local businesses wanting to advertise and entertain their clients and employees, we have an unbelievable amount of other clubs on our doorstep in comparison never mind the Old Firm. They have a wealthy owner with a lot of property hes willing to let his football team's players live in for next to nothing. Its sort of correlates why St. Johnstone do fine despite their crowds, a demand for corporate and hospitality facilities with little competition in that area. Where are we training this year? Jumping on the back of the minibus everyday still to find an empty patch of grass? Kilmarnock might be ladden with debt but they have a matchday sports bar and a hotel that bring in a decent amount of money outside of the gate receipts. The club needs to be run more like a business, gone are the days you could rely on having a decent number of fans paying on the day. Just look at English football too. If it was all down to who has the best attendances Wigan would never have survived in the Premiership for as long as they did, Fulham would be long gone and Leeds United would still be in Europe every year.
  10. Ross County players get virtually rent free accomodation living in property owned by the chairman. Tidser is a very good player, only have to look at how crap Morton are doing without him in a piss poor league with 3 part-time teams. This is why we'll never establish in this league again. We can't compete with bottom feeders like Ross County, even though potentially we have a much bigger support. Their infrastructure is exceptionally better. Better training facilities, bring in a fortune in hospitality on a matchday before you even get to the chairman. They have a director of football, says it all about the difference really between the clubs.
  11. makes me think where is the progress getting tonked off a team like that. so mentally weak. first goal was so amateur. gabriel didn't have his worst game but still looks crap. bannigan has been shit for too long. still scratching my head at the muirhead for bannigan sub at that point in the game. bunnet esque. could really do with a thompson type player. a proper clinical striker. Need probably one or two players with a track record in the window or we're risking going back to the diddy leagues and 2000 crowds against livingston etc. no more kids on loan or unproven guys at this level. referee was abysmal too. wee fat useless prick.
  12. I'm not sure if this has been covered. I have a season ticket and my son doesn't. I'm sure I read I'll have to sit in that seat and I've no option unless buying an extra ticket, its all season ticket holders around me and I won't be able to sit next to him then. Is this true?
  13. some aberdeen fan on pnb saying they had 2016 fans, wheres that? looked nowhere near it. if dundee utd had 2100, aberdeen had a lot less than that
  14. I come from springburn, barely a handful of thistle fans here even though its barely a half hour walk from firhill. Moved to robroyston, even less! What would be classed as the strongholds for our support?
  15. The seat number on mine is not the one ive reserved
  16. sounds like archie is going to be scrapping for players to add to the squad. mark kerr and rory boulding ain't gonna cut it i feel.
  17. The S&G and Munns are both good thistle pubs with good staff who make an effort. the woody is lagging behind tho, had enough after the morton game when people were told to stop singing while singing is embraced in the s&g, and its just becoming more and more full of neds.
  18. Damp squib. Crowd was poor even with it being midweek I thought, we started poor then once we got going we couldn't break Raith down. I've no idea why Raith were timewasting so much, it was embarrassing, the result was meaningless for them, you'd think they were defending a 1-0 lead and fighting for their lives no wonder about 50 of them turned up.
  19. Best night at Firhill for many a year, great spirit amongst the team. Morton were very poor. personally bit disappointed in myself for getting involved in some of the tit for tat verbal with their fans at the end as I came out the JH and walked up past the main stand when theres kids and families, but there you go heat of the moment and that, a load of handbags.
  20. Hopefully we dont see some newbies coming in there to sit down and expecting others to do so....
  21. Higgins made it look worse than it was, i've seen comparisons to Zidane, pfft. If it happened in the street Higgins would have been laughed at for lying motionless on the floor like that, he went done because he knew of the advantage. Why should he get away with unsportsmanlike conduct?
  22. Funny, having watched the videos since I noticed a lot of the people on the pitch were infact young fans, in no danger at all, a big hurrah about nothing from knicker wetters. Ruined family club rep, hahaha, aye good one
  23. I wonder how teams like hamilton can run full-time, terribly supported club
  24. the music is really annoying. like a 5 year olds birthday party.
  25. So one person makes a daft post and you want to lump everyone in there because they criticised your favourite player?
