Goodwillie is not a big target man. He is a player that runs at the defence and puts them on the back foot.

I think that Baird and Doolan are probably good enough. I think we need someone who can stretch the defence that would give the striker some extra time to take the chance

I agree that we probably have a good enough squad to make several changes and still win, but we nearly came unstuck vs Queens Park last season doing just that. My main concern is building some cohesion early in the season, particularly for the County game

I don't think he should make too many changes so early in the season. By all means change the subs, but not the starting 11. We need to build continuity and ensure we win the cup tie.

Had a really positive start with about 5 corners on the trot. Fraser's delivery were really good. The game was played at a really high tempo for almost the whole game.Maybe just a bit o composure lacking. DU have a pretty fast forward line, which we dealt with pretty well. There were no disappointments for us, although maybe Craigen wasn't confident enough and Lawless got bullied a bit. They should have had a guy sent off for a shocker of a tackle, but probably didn't because of Frasers reaction. Encouraged

Heard of some similar mess up at Celtics game last night. People had bought tickets on line but had to wait 45 mins to collect them. Looks like no football club can organise things properly.

I remember at the time this was announced that media were applauding Celtic for this. However, it then emerged that this was for basic adult season tickets only. There were many complaints that the price for other types of ticket(eg family STS), the price was actually going up.

I understand where you are coming from, but he has been learning the game the past couple of seasons and although inconsistent he has had a few good games(Morton,Hamilton and pops up with a vital goal vs Airdrie).On Saturday when he came on, he did pretty well, holding the ball and running at their defence, which is something I think we will need this season. Remember, Erskine was so inconsistent his 1st few seasons and it was really only when McCall left that he started making such a telling impact. I think there is still some hope for him.

We have Mukendi who is a big lad. I have only seen him for the few minutes of Saturdays game, so not too sure if he fits the bill as a strong forward. I am also a wee bit worried about Kerr. He seemed to get caught with the ball quite a lot in the 40 mins or so he was on. Think Murray might be a better option

Norge, not everyone has received so many letters. So far, I have only received the one letter with the Limassol tickets. These arrived in plenty of time for the game. I am not sure what you expect the club to do if the contractor doesn't deliver on time.

I think one of our strengths last season was that we had players who could slot in without really weakening the team.(the one exception was maybe Erskine). It is looking like that is going to be the case again this season. The obvious question is whether the squad is good enough for the "premiership". Really looking forward to Friday.
