  1. Colin, I've got to say that even by your lofty standards, you have completely outdone yourself here. Having not posted on this forum for as long as I can remember it was always going to take something special to get me back on board, well here we are. Some of the absolute hocum that you have posted over the years, and some of the hard hitting and ultimately very good stuff has always kept me interested, who can forget your famous post Gretna 3-3 - "papering over the cracks, let's face it we were shite". Anyway, you are now calling for the North stand to be disbanded. I honestly think it's just because you want to hear the sound of your own voice at a public meeting, not because you actually believe it. As Ian says you have no doubt been building this up for weeks, were you not going to get involved in the fan collaboration on behalf of your reps - the parents and children? How's that going for you? My background here is that this season I'm probably going to fall into a PATG customer category, and I'll most likely pick and choose. All the guys I go with are NS as are my dad and sister. If it didn't exist I'm absolutely certain I wouldn't bother. Firhill was a soulless dump before the brave move - I was over from game 1 and haven't been back to the JH. Why risk reverting proclaiming the problem is solved - why don't we just stick to it. Why don't we put the customer first for once. What is the need to revisit our ground layout? What is the need to alienate even more of our customer base? Why should we disband something that actually works? Why do you have an axe to grind with it? Have you sought out the views of the group of fans who you proclaimed you would represent and what was the opinion? My view - lets just not even bother with your nonsense suggestion. Let's focus as a fan base on supporting the team and the manager (they will need it this season - it's going to be tough) instead of playing strange wee games on football forums. The comments on this thread are bang on - tiny support and ever dwindling - why are we trying to divide it further?
  2. They have had more than the normal benefit of the doubt. If they don't priduce there is no God given right for backing.
  3. This is something I have noticed on various occasions this season - yesterday another example. At half time the County players were put through their paces by a coach. Footwork etc, getting them ready to play their part. A lot of teams do this now. Our boys? Hoofing long balls at each other. It is no surprise that when our subs come on, they need time to get upto pace. I'm not saying that opposition players are immediately on it, but they have got the blood flowing etc. we have quite a few coaches, and this is a no brainer to me.
  4. I really enjoy threads like this. The guys who just can't see past the team/manager decide that instead of looking to mount the usual (and sometimes credible) defence of them, decide that it was the fans fault. Desperate indeed. I just cannot take the argument that confidence is the issue. The issue to me is arrogance and a complete lack of effort on a huge scale. We absolutely pummelled that county team on day 1 this season, SOD and Fraser were magnificent. You've now got... Fraser - on a 3 year deal. Comfortable. Hasn't done anything of note for months. Spends his days pinging nonsense 50 yard passes. Normally at least gives the impression of trying, however yesterday he made a cowardly attempt to foul the guy before the 2nd goal, was doing nothing for the third, and then gestured at the JH. An absolute disgrace of a performance. Remember this is a guy we stood by when be assaulted someone. To get that in return is unforgivable. This guy is a loser and shouldn't be near our team. At least Craigen cares - get him in. SOD - this guy is an absolute imposter. Fancies himself as a big time Charlie because he rejected a move to Blackpool. Harps on about the top 6 when in fact he is a dead average right back who can't defend, can't keep himself in position, produces a good cross once in a blue moon. A waste of a jersey. Get him out the team NOW. Dan Seabourne was a guy who I thought was a good committed player. However he tried to get himself sent off yesterday with one of the most embarrassing tackles ever seen. Captain skills of Grant Murray. A pathetic captain and a dreadful role model. I'd have him dropped alongside that absolute haddy next to him Frans. Balatoni and Liam Lindsay for me - at least they care. Frans has a case of the Billy Gibsons. Play well for a few games to get your contract (Gibson did it for years) and then show true colours. This guy is just as bad as Seabourne and his efforts are pathetic. Abdul Osman was a zero yesterday. That pass in the second half was one of the worst things I've ever seen. He should have been hooked immediately and protected (I actually think he isn't such a bad player) however our manager left him out to dry. He is the only guy I will take the confidence point on - potentially Stevo too - why was he not our captain yesterday if the young boys think so much of him. Yesterday was a hark right back to the dark ages. I raise you the 3-0 home defeat against Stirling Albion when Colin Stewart was playing as an equal. On the manager - subbed an (albeit dreadful) left back and put Elliot (no problem with effort from him - but he was dreadful yesterday) into his place. WHY. Kept Lawless on the bench and put that zero Higgi on. WHY. Stood arms folded with no clue and no plan B. I don't advocate him being sacked yet - but I'd say he needs to make a last stand. Turning finally to an issue that is clearly causing problems. McMillan. A statement here is a must. Our best left and right back - indeed probably our POTY and we don't know where he is. I appreciate that there may be good reason - but I for one would like clarity. Lyle Taylor must be wondering what he has come back to. He was having to defend, win the ball in the middle, spread the play, cross it and try get on the end of it yesterday. My team next week would show (again) significant changes - this time though for very good reason. Gallacher, Booth (ideally Finnie and McMillan), McMillan, Balatoni, Lindsay/Richards Everton, Craigen, Bannigan, Elliot, Doolan, Stevenson, Taylor.
  5. Apparently the real reason that Sean Welsh isn't playing is because Kris Doolan ate his leg.
  6. The 3-2 game when Tommy Stewart scored was particularly bad. Pretty certain the Bishopbriggs bus disbanded straight after...
  7. Wasn't at that game but I sure you now who I mean. As the Arch says, hairy, attends with same friend each week, sings Hello Hello a lot...
  8. It was one guy in particular and yes he goes every week. Stands in North Stand. The things he was saying give our club a bad reputation and wll only contribute to more heavy handed stewarding in future games if other clubs get wind.
  9. Thought the stewarding today at Dundee was absolutely spot on. Turnstiles were operate efficiently and quickly, and I had a good chat with a steward outside who was telling me we sold only 50 tickets in the general sale and they were surprised by our travelling number...they probably shouldn't have been surprised but they dealt with it well. In the ground they allowed standing etc which again was the right decision. Probably the best bit was the way they handled the situation with one "supporter" in particular. Some of the things coming out this mans mouth were disgustingly offensive...particularly the reference to down syndrome children and woman being raped in Dundee. He sang anything that came into his warped mind (alone in the main) and people were shouting at him/muttering about him being a disgrace. Anyway, after giving a female steward pelters and abusing another steward he went at half time. Well done to Dundee.
  10. If Jim Duffy wins this one, the Glasgow Taxi Driver gossip league would hit overdrive.
