  1. As part of a recent survey from TJF, and in light of the recent investment/share purchase, I noted I’d never had an opportunity to buy shares/invest in the club. I suggested we get 100/200 fans paying £200/100 pm for a year. This could mean the group are given shares. I’m not sure how it would work regulatory wise. But it continues with the fan ownership, and fans get something tangible in return. And spreading the outlay makes it accessible to more fans. Is there any support for this?
  2. No, and tried calling the office, which is closed
  3. Away fans can help to generate a great atmosphere. For location alone, visiting Firhill should be the best experience in all of Scotland. I believe Germany try harder to encourage away fans as they realise how important they are to a match experience. I’m aware we invite away fans to the Aitken suit, but it’d be good to see an away day feature in the official site - good pubs pre and post match etc
  4. Not all of them resigned. We still had Smilie and Gerry as CEO. Both out of the door weeks after TJF committed funds after the financial loss was announced. Both were implicit with the shares fiasco, yet it seems from the outside they were still able to decide crucial club decisions whilst leading an intern board.
  5. The best way to ensure sustainability for thistle is to increase our own fan base. I like the way St Mirren have restricted the OF numbers, and this has not only encouraged more of their own fans to go to those games, but it has helped with results. we are seeing the results of the kids go free initiative, and the work jags for good do will hopefully ensure we have new fans coming to games.
  6. Where does this leave Gerry Britton? for all the gloom around the club since last week’s defeat, we now have our club. This is massive and I believe would not have happened without the fans, TJF or the boycott of the Kelty game. the young team have shown that the fans do have a voice. this is massive
  7. Your reference to attendances made me look. We had 3600 v Morton, helped by a large away support. Crowds dropped v Hamilton and cove. But I doubt that was due to the victory v Morton. I can not understand how an intern board can make such a decision. We’re still in with a shout of the league mainly due to the fact no one team can pull away from the rest. We’ve played some awful football, mostly due to lack of depth in the squad, but also some of the best football seen at Firhill in a decade. we have no funds to bring in a replacement Managenent team. we are in the midst of a titanic fight for fan ownership, which has only been a struggle due to the behaviour of the previous board. yet, a decision was made to remove an experienced team. I’ve thought about why this decision was made, even allowing the possibility that experienced players may have made noises, but this was dispelled with Doolan’s interview. I can only see 2 people who started this move - CEO and the chair, both involved in the shares issue. my conclusion? I’m really struggling. Malicious?
  8. I’m still struggling to find a reason for the dismissal of the management team. Is there malice involved?
  9. It is. Just makes the decision to change more ridiculous than ever
  10. A fresh team without anyone from the previous board. The BoD did everything they could to stop a proper fan ownership. They refused to allow due diligence. Initially they played down the fan protest, and after the realisation they were probably short of £15k in takings, did we see action. Money talks, for people whose main interest is money. we have also kept with the ceo, again, someone who does not have clean hands involving the fan ownership. And after allowing the pitch to be shared with QP, even at the time saying it would not impact on the playing surface, probably lost us a chance of a title challenge in 21/22, and probably money due to the resurface work. And made watching football a chore. Between tJF and jags for good, we see people making a big difference. There are many more thistle minded people out there capable of taking a seat at the board. My issues with the decision to remove the management team are more to do with the way I want to see thistle run. I don’t want the present board. I certainly don’t want them making such drastic decisions. I’ll repeat myself here. The proposal must have come from the ceo, to the chair. The chair was partly responsible for nominating the ptfc trustees. We now have 2 of them on the board. Despite what we constantly hear from people who want to profit from our sport, Football is not a results business. If it were, fans would be changing clubs all the time. The management team have been treated in a way similar to outfits like P&O. there were alternatives to the current set up. We had them. We have the power to change the club through the money we spend. The club needs the fans, the fans need the club. Our club is the fans. We are not a Newcastle or Man U, where the amount of money involved dwarfs the income from fans. We do not generate enough money that a crowd without 1000 can be ignored. Yet we allowed the chair, ceo and 2 other board members to sit round our table making decisions.
  11. The present board should not be in place. I’m repeating myself - but the ceo was involved with the board and ptfc trust, the chair was involved with everything, the 2 ptfc trust board members were there because of the previous board. Why have us fans allowed this to continue? We had them . We should have demanded the removal of the entire berated. This present board have no right to make these decisions
  12. I didn’t make myself clear, I’m more interested in the future of the club rather than weekend events. yes, we have a new board, yes, tjf have nominated a board member. But this is still only 25% representation. And the same ceo. this does not feel like fan ownership. And I’m not asking for fan run, but I do not think there is much difference between the current set up and the one we thought we’d ousted.
  13. Sounds like the board are getting jittery again similar to the post Kelty cup game. A nothing statement. I’m repeating myself, but the club is being run by the same CEO, the chair was involved in the previous board, both were aware of the financial situation at the club. Yet they are able to make influence and lead the “new” board. I’d like to hear from TJF, whom I pay monthly subscriptions to. I’m aware they be were not involved in any decision making, which I think is wrong.
  14. No vote, but a lot of input. I’m unsure if the ptfc trust guys on the board have experience at this level, nor about the jfg nominee. What we do know is Smilie has experience, as does Britton. And both of them were involved with the share fiasco. Yet they remain, shaping major changes in our club. I am not happy that they can influence the future of our club when their hands are so dirty.
