  1. Agreed. There is more than one way of doing so and we will just have to live with that. I had no issue with you stating your piece and read most of the posts you made with interest and didn’t expect any result other than what has transpired. You were correct but your apparent gloating did not sit well with me, although I also understand that you have more to worry about than my views on that or any other subject.
  2. I don’t think anyone even considered that you may not be pompous or modest. So at least we can agree on that. Those traits, however, do give the impression that you would not be first on the list for many social gatherings that I would wish to join.
  3. I think you might find that nobody actually asked you to spend the amount of time you spent on this matter. You could easily have made all your points in a far less pompous manner and then you may have been spared all the apparent angst. However, if being correct about this is what floats your boat I’m happy to be on another vessel. Humility costs nothing.
  4. My recollection is that the original restriction of 500 was set to come into effect on the Monday after the Old Filth game which was due on the Sunday. This was changed and led to the Ayr against QOS game on the Friday being cancelled. Had that gone ahead and had Ayr won we wouldn’t have been removed from the Championship on average points, I think.
  5. Charlie Smith was one of my favourite players of that time. I thought he was very unfortunate not to be involved in the final but Ronnie Glavin did a pretty good job that day, and quite a few more! We could probably do with somebody in that mould these days.
  6. "I have not seen it yet, but I am led to believe that it is a hand ball. If it is our turn to get that wee bit of luck then it is certainly overdue. This quote from Danny Lennon is a bit rich given last week's events!
  7. Some great photos in there but Johnny Flanagan didn't sign for Thistle until about 1966/67. He was one of my first Thistle heroes when I started going regularly to Firhill at the age of 10 round about that time.
  8. Have emailed Ian Maxwell suggesting that we copy St Mirren's idea of fans being able to have their names added to the credits. Not sure if there was an extra charge for this but do know that the DVD had to be ordered within a fairly short timescale following its announcement. Might also help with production numbers.
  9. The missing apostrophe in the Chris Jack article made me think that Murray had left along with Rowser!
  10. Seems more likely that this has been on the cards for longer than anyone is letting on as we have no idea what the "improved compensation" actually is.
