It was a knee injury picked up in the 2-2 game at Hampden. He is just about ready to get back in the squad and is on loan for the season so is almost like a new signing and gives more defensive options. I thought he was doing okay prior to his injury, not going to start ahead of Milne or McMillan but a good option if either pick up an injury/suspension.

    cheers.

  2. Can’t be changing a team who won 4-0 last week. Need to watch out for Strapp’s throw ins, they are like missiles. 2 hattricks in a row from Muirhead then Oakley in their last 2 games, let’s not make it a hattrick of hattricks against the Partick, unless it’s Aidan Fitzpatrick.

Any word on under soil heating with temperature plummeting?

flying in and looking forward to this one.
what are the chances of a frozen pitch?

Think I read the hospitality was sold out for this one so got to think we’ll be doing all we can to get it on, plus we’re on a decent wee run and the crowd from a Saturday will be better than a re-arranged midweek game. Will be interested to see how we play with Adeloye up, he really needs to take his chance here.

Watching with interest for the game on 18th Nov.

It's the day before Scotland v Norway and would be good if we were at home, for at least two reasons.

    1. I'm up that weekend with my Nephew, who's yet to see Thistle at home

    2. As Premiership games will be postponed and with many fans travelling to Glasgow for the Scotland match, we could get a few interested neutrals

Pretty sure that the last twice this has happened, we've got Inverness away, usually on the Friday night. Maybe one was Falkirk away in that other cup, now I think on it?

In any case, can we just be at home on 18th November.

We had a few Welsh fans at the game we beat Livvy 6-1 back in the Championship winning season.

    • First top-flight side to be relegated via the play-offs system.
    • Yet to win a home match after 6 attempts.
    • First team ever to be promoted with a 4th place finish.
    • 4th place records of 2006 and 2023 match exactly i.e. W16 D9 L11. Omen?
    • No 4th place team has ever won a Premiership play-off tie.
    • No club has ever been promoted from the QF stage of the Premiership play-offs.

Do you have a record of teams Thistle have relegated? We relegated Stranraer in the playoff before Peterhead, I’m sure we’ve relegated Stirling Albion twice, possibly the Lindau game included? Also sent Dumbarton down in the 3-2 game over there when we were 2-0 down, I think that was the game before we played Stranraer in the playoffs. cheers!

  6. I wonder if Doolan knew he would be taking over the team while commentating on the game for Sportsound or if he’s just had a phone call right after the game asking if he can take over? I’m a bit surprised he has said yes to be honest, I thought he would just want to keep his head down in the background and not involve himself in this mess we’re in, on and off the park. Ah well we go again next week, at least the Ayr fans won’t hate us as much now and they can bin their wee tinpot rivalry they thought they had with us!

Hopefully BBG back, McKinnon and Brownlie out plus McCall has a player coming in on loan from England who is hopefully up for training today, I suppose it needs to be a defender if Tunji has left and Brownlie is injured.
