A 1-0 victory against Spartans coupled with Hearts losing sees us jump up to fifth but we now finish the first part of the league with 3 tough games - Rangers and Hibs at home followed by Celtic away.
Well done to the players and management.

A midweek fixture against Spartans, let's hope for 3points before a tough run of games all against the other sides in the top six.

Not expecting a big away support as they are in the Jackie Husband Stand. Let's get a big home support in to help the players and the club's finances.
In to the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup after beating Queens Park 3-1 but that flattered us a bit. A number of changes to the starting line up probably contributed to a disjointed performance but ultimately progression is all that matters.
If you are looking for your football fix this weekend the women's team are in Scottish Cup action on Sunday at home against Queens Park who are top of the league below. Kick off is at 4pm.

Posting this here rather than starting a new thread as this one had gone on to discussions about the Academy and Women's Team anyway.

I am not an expert on the rules but I believe that there is a date a club loaning a player out has to advise the other club if he is being recalled and that has passed. Even then as he has played for us and Ayr he could not play for another club this season.
You will know better than I but it looks like we are better placed going in to the split compared to last season when we had less squad depth and were carrying some injuries which was compounded with some suspensions and players on loan unable to play against their parent clubs.
Splitting the Edinburgh teams is definitely on and given the split has you playing the other teams home and away finishing above them is not out of the question.
A 2-1 victory for us combined with Aberdeen's defeat sees us guarantee a top 6 place with 4 games still to go before the split - well done to all concerned
Right, I was just going on competitive games.
Impressive to think that in his first managerial post across league/play-offs and cups he has lost less games than his predecessor had done in 23 league games.
Another big game today away to Montrose - if we win and Aberdeen don't win (they are at home to Rangers) then we are confirmed as being in the top 6 as we will be at least 13 points ahead with only 4 games to the split.

Still undefeated this year. Started 2024 9 points off 2nd and 12 off 1st, now 7 off 2nd and 8 off 1st with progression in the Scottish Cup so not a bad January. Maybe one more signing before the end of the month to sweeten it further.
Whilst we are enjoying the men and women's teams recent cup victories just to point out that the youth team are in the quarter final of the Scottish Cup playing Ayr away at 2pm on Friday - let's hope they can make the semis.
