  1. I’m reminded of the time I said to my mate re; Ken Bates - “we were here long before he came and we’ll be here long after he’s gone” Replace KB with JL…. as you said - this is our club
  2. Good point. Although, for clarity, my post wasn’t meant to be critical, just an observation.
  3. It certainly used to be the practice that Directors would attend or visit each hospitality area pre/post match - AR lounge, Ambassador’s/Club 71, boardroom etc . This was a way of recognising and acknowledging folks who had dug deep to pay more/provide sponsorship etc. When I was involved a few of us would also spend time in JLS and JHS stands and concourses. Just talking to fans.
  4. @Norgethistle Happy to add my name to the signatories.
  5. Yep. 3BC = 1 person. Club Board = 1 person (see above)
  6. This. Absolutely, totally and utterly, this. (And I speak as someone who had Ken Bates ejected from the Main Stand. Long story)
  7. As a wise man once said…if you don’t know who the patsy is, it’s probably you
  8. So sorry for your loss. As we say in my faith, I wish you long life.
  9. And don't forget, you can take the kids along to the Player Zone in the Aitken Suite post match, where they can meet 2 players and have photos signed. After we have won
  10. Just a quick note to say we will look into this - our aim is to provide a great Matchday experience for all our fans and clearly, this has not been the case for a few people on this thread. So firstly, apologies for that. Secondly, if I could ask you to drop me a mail at [email protected] with details of what happened, I will ensure we get to the bottom if it, fix the issues and get back to you. We did have some operational/technical issues on Friday night, but that shouldn't stop us providing good service.
  11. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the match day experience for everyone at Firhill, we have introduced an electronic ticketing and entrance system this season. To help with the continuous improvement of the system, we are looking for volunteers to assist with: -Monitoring the system -Providing customer service to our fans No experience is necessary and full training will be provided to all volunteers. All that we ask is that you are comfortable dealing with people and have a desire to help the Jags. Volunteers will be asked to provide support at home matches from an hour before kickoff and in return the club offers a generous remuneration package (well, free entry to the game!). If you’re interested in joining the Firhill match day team please email [email protected] with your name, age, email address and contact phone number. Thanks, Lance Gilmour, Customer Experience Director
  12. ...and what date is tomorrow ??!?...
  13. The thinking behind it - as I mentioned - is to experiment with ideas around Matchday experience. I say 'probably' because, thus far we have only gained feedback from Forum users and we like to include feedback from as many sources as possible. Similarly, not everyone has complained. Like I say, we take feedback and respond - generally pretty quickly. Hope his helps Lance
  14. What a stooshie ! Ok, let me clear up any confusion. Last season we experimented with relaying the songs from the North Stand into the JHS. Arguably, it worked as the JHS started joining in the singing. However, after listening to feedback from fans who didn't like it, it was stopped. Friday night the new DJ (I stopped this over a year ago) experimented with playing a recording of chants - at a point in the game when the visiting fans were at heir noisiest. Feedback would indicate this is not popular either, and so we probably won't use it during a game again - may use it as the team comes out for he second half for example, but probably not during a game. Summary is, we try stuff, some works, some doesn't. But we ALWAYS listen to the fans. Hope his helps, as ever, any suggestions, on the back of a postcard to the usual address. Cheers, Lance
