  1. It's not the Thistle way of doing things is it
  2. Please Thistle do not come out for the second half with that "job done" attitude that has cost us so many wins over the years
  3. Still fumbling with the on button at that point
  4. Good performance, especially in the first half. Two good goals and three very welcome points. Down side was Doolan's injury, a poor display from Tommy Stewart, and yet another horrific performance by possibly the worst referee in Scotland, Stephen Finnie

  7. I get the distinct feeling that the next five games are going to be a painful time for all of us. Given our continued poor away performances and the fact that four of our next five games are away from home this could be make or break time for McNamara. If we lose ground to the second bottom placed team then we could find ourselves in big trouble and I don't think this squad has the fight to get themselves clear of the play off spot if we drop into it. A look at our last three games does not fill me with confidence either - Dundee away, Falkirk home and Hamilton away. Two or three consecutive wins could ease all our concerns so come on Jags time to get the finger out !!
  8. Simply can't score !! On the balance of play we should probably have won this but a combination of good keeping from Rab Douglas and poor finishing from our lot resulted in yet another blank. On the positive side we didn't concede a late goal this week. Cairney was again superb, good display also from Rowser and Paton. Ref was abysmal
  9. I know what you are getting at, I myself had predicted 88 minutes for the Hamilton goal so I wasn't far out. I had a look through the season stats and from what I can see we have conceded six times in the closing five minutes of a game this season! What surprised me was that we have actually scored on four occasions in the last five minutes. The big difference is that every time we conceded late on we have lost and on five of the six occasions the late goal has been the winner as opposed to just increasing the wining margin. Of the four times we have scored late on two have secured wins and the other two have been draws. So conceded late goals have been far more damaging than scoring late goals have been helpful. Also noteworthy is the fact that five of the six times we have lost to late goals it has been in games where we have not scored ourselves and that for me is the worrying aspect as there seems to be almost an inevitability that we will concede late on when a game is heading for 0-0
  10. And if you remember Santala actually turned out to be totally pish in the position he was brought in to fill i.e. a central defender! It was purely by accident that we discovered that he was a decent forward.
  11. The QOS highlights are now up on the official site but the video does not appear to be working too well at the moment. Try it here: http://www.ptfc.co.u...en_of_the_south Alternatively you may wish to view via youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN-M_ZjBUcI&feature=youtu.be

  15. Good result, good performance! My only concern is that it took an own goal to win the game and our other goal came from a defender. The lack of goals coming from the strike force is a bit worrying
  16. F.T. 0-0 Two goals in the last five away games. Not very good is it ?
  17. Season ticket or not a home tie in the 3rd round of the Scottish cup usually generates a good crowd and I would expect Culter to bring a reasonable sized support with them so let's wait and see but I don't think we will to too far off the 3000 mark.
  18. I think you will find that there will be quite a sizeable away support! Like, most of the town.
  19. Probable attendance approx 3000 @ an average of about £15 per head. Culter entitled, I believe, to half the gate less costs. Do you actually believe that Thistle will hand around £20K to allow the fans free entry?
  20. Being the cup the gate money is split between the clubs involved so I don't think free entry is an option even if Thistle want to do it
