  1. I can remember one currant that I worked with, digging me up for the racist abuse we gave Dale Gordon at Ibrox one day. If I remember correctly, John Brown also accused us of the same thing. Both guys were talking shite, because I heard absolutely nothing that constituted racial abuse. There was plenty of abuse questioning their religious and sexual preferences, and also some concerning their personal hygiene, but definately none regarding skin tone.
  2. It's being reported that the "reconstruction" would only involve changing the 1st division into the SPL2, therefore the Newco would only drop to the SPL2 and not the 3rd division. http://www.scotsman....ision-1-2359952
  3. From the Records story with Mark; “Burns told my dad, Ian, that it was not a football decision – it was purely based on physique and they couldn’t give me a contract. And we wonder why our football standard is so low.
  4. I liked, but was never really a big fan of the camouflage effort. For me, they were never going to be able to improve, or even equal, the grey/pink number we had before it, so it was always going to be a no-win situation for them. But with this new top, they have a winner. We seem to be becoming the frontrunners for introducing, different and slightly niche, away tops. Especially when you consider that a lot of other teams, some a lot bigger than us, have Puma as their kit supplier, but they seem to end up with variations of the current "off the shelf" design. No wonder Spurs have binned them, they must have been sick of the fact that every away strip they got, was totally inferior to everything we got.
  5. Were Roughy and Thompson not the 1st and 2nd choice for Scotland while they were at the Jags? Seem to remember them being 1st and 2nd choice, but not too sure whether they were both on our books at the same time.
  6. With regards to giving Lawless and Muirhead 2 year deals, how would we feel right now if he had only given a 1 year deal to Sinclair, who was also a young unproven player when we bought him.
  7. Murray and Rowson the "Jack and Victor" of PTFC. According to Buddies fan on P&B, "he doesnt have a lot of football in him and he isnt that great a passer, but he will boot the f**k out of your opponents and they will run away from him".
  8. Too old? Is Jackie not looking to try and keep the age down? If it is Murray, then our midfield would start to look a bit like an audition for "Still Game"
  9. This will end up the same as Motherwell, Dundee, Livingston, Dundee, Livingston, Dundee, Dundee, Dundee, Livingston. Renege on all your debts, then come back as though nothing has happened. ps I know Dundee have only done it twice, but it feels like more, dont you think? pps Livingston are included again because they signed John Collins and John Hughes, who, I believe, will have to be paid with more than Nectar points.
  10. It seems we could be about to move into the Hollywood A-list; Brad and Angie at Firhill?
  11. Riley is a cheatin little f****r. He obviously learned that s**t during his time at Parkhead. His contribution to todays game consisted of skinning Paton once and diving 3 times. Little *****. As for the Jags; Fox- Had next to nothing to do all day Paton- Had what I could only describe as a nightmare. Kept overhitting passes to the front 2 and/or passing it straight to the opposition. Kinniburgh/Archibald- Strolled through the entire match. Never ever put under any pressure by Dundees strikers. If Kinniburgh had stayed on, we would not have lost. Sinclair- Reminds me a bit of Alan Hutton, iffy at times in defense, but loves to get forward. He lacks some basic footballing intelligence, but if he can learn from guys like Archie and Rowser we could end up with a very, very good player. Cairney- Basically the same as Paton. Robertson- Seemed to be everywhere early on, broke up plenty of Dundee attacks and even found himself breaking into the Dundee box for several of our attacks. He did tire in the 2nd half, but he had a good debut. He gives us some added height aswell. Rowson- Where would we be without him. He was head and shoulders above every player on the park today. Erskine- Needs a little composure at times, but with him and Sinclair on the left, they will terrify teams in this league, hopefully. Doolan/Stewart- struggled against a big physical defense. Needed more support at times, and a lot more passes into their feet. Balatoni- Woeful. Needs confidence built up. Campbell- Made very little impact Flannigan- Made no impact whatsoever Overall we didnt at any point look like losing that game, then again, with the exception of a couple of off target efforts(Rowson header, Erskine shot)we didnt look like winning it either. Sounds familiar.
  12. Kevin "Wheeeech" McGhee? I seem to remember Scotsport (I think) doing a piece on the fastest players, and he was the fastest.
  13. We will end up with a version of one of these, either Brentford or Colchester. Possibles
  14. Another "promising SPL young player on the fringes of the 1st team", havent we heard this before? Oh yeah, thats right, its the same line that was trotted out about Steven Lennon and Damon Gray. Well heres hoping this guy has more goals in him than these 2.
  15. I have this nagging feeling that today, Scumdee will today be given a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again, whilst getting their points reduction reduced to something like 10 points. Maybe its just me, but the way things are going in Scottish football at the moment, no-one seems to be able to make the right decision about anything. So I expect to be in one Khunt of a mood later on when the result of the appeal is announced. Please someone tell me i'm wrong
  16. I remember watching the "Honey Monster" help the Jags destroy the "aids ridden scum from the East" 5-2 at Tynecastle.
