  1. Did he have to cross it all , why not square it or hit it backwards , he was dead on his feet by then , one of the reasons Dools took him off , that and not tracking his runners
  2. You’re right , the ability is there that we all know but modern day footballers are stuck on stats ( goals and assists) but that doesn’t tell the whole story , not tracking runners for example that lead to losing goals , unfortunately Aiden comes into that category.
  3. That’s not true , he was out on his feet and Doolan took him off immediately after that .
  4. A 23yr old footballer should be able to play 90 mins , taking the ball to the corner flag with 15 mins to go was a nonsense
  5. Not sure what was going through Fitzy’s head today , terrible attitude, take on board the state of the pitch but he should look at his team mates BG, Robinson, Lawless etc to see the work they put in Fitzy is undoubtedly a talent but never going to go to the next level unless he addresses fitness levels and work ethic
  6. Been in this movie before when Archie was Manager and he couldn’t get the defence organised . I agree with JJ re fitness, we’ve got players like McKenzie and Stanway who should have no issues re fitness and energy, in my opinion they are our future and Doolan should play them more . Re the 13 goals that we’ve lost in the last 4 games , Dools has got to change the personnel about a bit , possibly go back to a flat back 4 with maybe an extra man in midfield Got to change things around a bit to get back on track
  7. Probably agree with that , hindsight being a great thing I would have also offered Danny Mullen a deal , might not have started every week but better than Adenoye by a country mile
  8. Think if Doolan had Docherty, Holt , Tiff and Turner in the ranks we would probably be in a better position than we are just now .
  9. You omitted that Ian McCall also got us relegated was also part of the cartel that was miles over budget and almost put our Club back into administration I’ll stick with Dools just now , who is obviously still learning but the signs are promising in terms of what he is building , giving a pathway to players like Stanway , McKenzie, Diack etc and also getting the best out of Aiden Fitzpatrick Would never have happened if Ian McCall was still around.
  10. Not sure we could get near Stephen’s wages unfortunately
  11. Pressure is on Dundee United , they haven’t really got any options they’ve got to get promoted this year or I believe they’re in big trouble.
  12. Not sure who you’re talking about LIB , but Doc wanted to stay but the money Dundee United offered would have been crazy to turn down .
  13. Celtic still haven’t replaced Tierney with the same quality
  14. Did Celtic replace Tierney with a better player Of course they didn’t
  15. He’s a young guy making his way in the game but at this point he’s not as good as Kevin Holt
  16. So Kieran Tierney signs for Arsenal for £50 million do Celtic go out and buy another £50 million player ? Of course they don’t , similar with Tiff , Doc , Turner and Holt We couldn’t replace these players with the money we’ve got on offer
  17. How can that be even remotely real, Liverpool could decide if they want to spend £1 million or £100 million on a player Sure there’s players that Dools would like in his team just now , be that Dom Thomas etc but the cash isn’t there to do these deals , so our Club needs to find another way , loan deals etc Your Liverpool comparison is absolutely nonsense.
  18. He got sacked because he was taking us nowhere, home defeats against Cove and Hamilton actually cost us the League in my opinion or it would have been automatic promotion .
  19. Where does that come from ? Apart from possibly Livingston, every other team in the SPFL has got a better infrastructure than us and that’s what we’re trying to aspire to .
  20. The only difference is Liverpool spent 200 million to rebuild their team Absolutely no difference!
  21. That shouldn’t be the defining stat at our level. The supporters can see the progress , young players coming through the system and getting minutes in the first team which should be the template for the future. Did you really want to continue as per last season in the hunger or bust business model that Jaqui Lowe , McCall etc advocated They nearly put us out of business again Maybe time for a reality check Javeajag
  22. Not really sure where you are coming from ? This was always going to be a season in transition because the playing budget was slashed because of the overspend from the previous incumbents ( MCCall included ) Probably lost our 4 best players into the bargain and at this moment I’m not sure the quality of these players has been replaced with the Wages on offer . At this moment I don’t think we’re ready for the step up yet but the signs are that we are making good progression
  23. Think everyone should be able to see what Doolan is trying to build at our Club , with Stanway , Lyon ,McKenzie, Diack and now Macbeth coming through and giving them a pathway to first team Guys like Milne , Fitzy , Lawless and BG have been signed up on longer contracts which means we don’t have to rebuild every season as we have done for lots of years but hopefully add a few players here and there to enhance the squad . Building a Club takes time but as the stats show Dools has done a magnificent job so far .
  24. Not sure if we can but I would take Anton Dowds back for the last half of the season, looks like there is still a player in there , he’s not an impact sub , play him behind BG . Teams have sussed us out , with our threats down the left and right side . We need more of a threat down the middle of the park , Dowds coming back could solve that . I would certainly play him before Adeloye and young Ricoh who is still learning
