Massive today and I do think we could still need that point, as I'd take Dunfermline to win their last three games.
We don't want to go in to Utd's flag game needing anything on the last day.
Thoughts at the minute though, should be fixed on attaining 3rd place and the positives that come with that.
Probably take a draw today but a win get's us in a more positive place for the upcoming play offs.
Mon The Jags.

It would also be nice to beat Raith this season too
We're saving that up for the two-legger
-
The other teams also play Dundee Utd and Raith and each other.
Pretty sure a draw v Airdrie and win v Ayr will leave us 3rd.
-
Let's go Jags.
-
2 draws and a win for 3rd.
Would take a draw today as never an easy place to go.
-
I'm sure we want to win in style and for it to be an enjoyable watch but it's been a pretty good March.
3 wins from 3 (with one goal conceded), 2 draws (one away after being 2-0 down and one against the League leaders), and an unfortunate loss against Raith, after dominating the game.
If it wasn't for our results in February, we'd be pushing for automatic promotion.
Finish 3rd and we have a real chance of reaching the play-off final, where as we know, anything can happen.
Revenge would be oh so sweet.

That'll do us. Well done Jags.

Thanks FT.
Another signed football I'll never get to see.

Definitely should be winning this. And I know it's not a popular view but I don't think we were too far off it on Tues evening.
My main concern is the pitch which will make it difficult to move the ball quickly - where it's reasonable to expect us to have the advantage over Morton.
I also don't think experimenting with players in unnatural positions is the way to go - it might have positive impact, but on the balance of probability it's more likely not to work out.
Play the best players available in their natural positions, focus on getting the basics right, concentrate on the job in hand, keep the heid and results will come.
Just not sure about tomorrow because of that pitch ...
Haven't had the chance to read the full match thread from Tuesday, but can imagine it didn't make pretty reading.
Watched the game on TV and felt we played well and were very unlucky not to win.
Similar performances to the end of the season will see us in the play-offs no doubt.
After Tuesday, I think we'd take Raith over two legs. They've been riding their luck all season and won't keep it up.
Us to beat Ross County in the play-off final. We owe them one after all.

Thought Milne was better than this.
The rest of the team doing fine and we could get back in this.

I thought Fitzpatrick did a lot of things right. His corners first half were excellent.
Good to hear.
It's easy to feel that players in this particular role aren't doing well every week.
Truth is, it's difficult to be on the front foot and creating and scoring chances every week and if they play an easy ball, it seems they are passing the buck.
It's a bit of a thankless task, unless you are at the level of R7 and they are one per generation.
Fitzpatrick might blow hot and cold but that's the nature of that style of player, rather than fitness or a lack of trying.
I think we would be less of a team without him.

From his interview on Jagzone the manager said Lawless was back training today. Sneddon and O'Reilly both had scans so we will know fairly soon the extent of their injuries. Apart from that seems everyone else is available.
Looked as if Lawless was holding his arm on Friday, so thinking maybe took a knock on it.
Nothing too serious I hope, as we need him.
-
Looking forward to this and a chance to use my season ticket for the first time ever (3 seasons).
There's something special about a night game and I'm sure the Jags will turn up and give us plenty to cheer.
P.S. Decided it's not too early to start the thread, as the game's on a FridayΒ

Stating the bleedin obvious I imagine the run of Dundee U, Raith and Morton all at home between 2 and 16 March as well as Queens at Hampden in the middle of that run will potentially have a massive bearing on our final place as well as being significant for our opponents.Β
Four β6 pointersβ in a row - what could possibly go wrong!! π€π€A certain ref might make an appearance π¬π€.
Other than that, nothing.
This team is more than capable of going on a good run.

Interesting also, that the ref doesn't blow the whistle until the Thistle player strikes the ball.
Maybe he was allowing Rangers an advantage deep in their own penalty box up until that point. Makes sense if you're one of them I'm sure.

Absolute howler from the referee, I was standing the other side of the pitch. Just amazed he did not give them their regulation penalty in last minute for the blatant dive.
Be saving it up for the final, should they need it.

That was my original thought. However,we would have been the same number as it is Greenock MortonΒ
If a butterfly flaps its wings....
There's absolutely no way of knowing who (or where), we would have drawn.
We've missed out on a lot of money and a shot at glory. That much is certain.
Judging by the state of the pitch, I can guess where most of it would go.

Pity but it's only the cup which is a nice to be in but hardly the bread and butter.................Β Β
I wish I could think like this.
My blood pressure has been through the roof since they scored their first.

From 2-1 and maybe even a bit from 2-0, I knew this would happen.
It's just crushing.

I'm saying nothing.

For this new year, I've been trying to think more positively about things.
This is testing my resolve.
C'mon Jags, a goal to the good.
Let's do this.
-
They've one back.
I see we made two substitutions soon after we scored, taking Graham and Lawless off.
I wonder what the thinking behind that was.
