  1. FREE QP ONLINE MATCH PROGRAMME The match programme for today's fixture is now available on the QP website
  2. I am frustrated, WJ, & my frustrations have got the better of me. There is always the wish not to damage my club, but I am angry at the board for their behaviour. I withdraw my thoughts , & I've removed the post content.
  3. That's why I commented on "real life", SS. Clearly they expect to have no difficulties!!
  4. I see that the successful bidder is crawling into the light before the ICT match. It'll be interesting to see Low's preferred partner. It seems to me predjucial to kill off the TJF bid, whilst still in legal negotiations with the supposed successful choice. As Devil's Advocate, what if by some quirk those legal negotiations fail? I know that is extremely unlikely, but in real life it would be a possibility. Also strange that even clubs like Morton get a weekly 5 figure sum from their members, but our club is so sure of success that the Board can knock back a similar(& rising) sum? TJF members sure won't be dipping in their pockets for this venture - or do we get the "Time to move on for the club" routine. Forgive my cynicism. Like many others, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the TJF office bearers who devoted so much time and effort for the good of our club.
  5. I completely agree with Fenski & BB. I'm not clear why something not yet seen performed can be deemed to be "utter crap". If you watch it, & don't like it fair enough. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Only downer is you can't just read your match programme instead.! But as both posters have said, be open minded.
  6. Adam's funeral cortege stops at Firhill in around 15 minutes. I'll have a reflection then on a talented player.
  7. Am I right in thinking that the referee for this match is our former player John Drummond, who did play for Sheffield United?
  8. Lawless' outside of the left boot pass to Fitzpatrick for his goal was just sublime.
  9. Hugh took a big risk with a young family in emigrating to Australia, and he said it was the best move he ever made. He didn't think that on arrival! There is a lot happening on the Archive, with some wonderful finds recently. Historian Joe Kelly has been having some fun, and has been wonderfully productive. In the words of the old saying, we learn something new every day!
  10. Press on the underlined link "which Jag won a cup winner's medal at Firhill aged only 14" and you can read all about his Australian adventure in his profile bio!!
  11. Denis, I'm sure that you know that Tom Maley played for the Jags. Not too long back we wrote a bio of Tom, as shown below. Afraid I can't do links, but in the Archive go to players , M, and Tom Maley. In the words of my esteem colleague, Jack Little ( A. F. Kincaid) "a shameless plug".) A brilliant character.
  12. You mean like this! John Craig, Alan Rough & Alan Hansen signed my Jags centenary book by Ian Archer when I bought it.
  13. Kingsley strip photo taken in a mirror, but still feel the two JEL logos are different.
  14. The preview of the official strip has the full wording of "Just Employment Law " written after the large J insignia. There is no "Just Employment Law" wording on the Kingsley shirt - ergo it can't be the official strip. But I do agree that it would sell!
  15. Clyde source on P& B says 2-1 to Clyde. No other info like team news etc.
  16. Likewise direct transfer & pm to you this morning.
  17. Nope. Our John Simpson scored 9 in our Scottish Cup win against Royal Albert. 9 in a match should be a Simpson!
  18. Happy to see the cash coming to the club, so neutral on standard or premium. Big season ahead for him, so Darren Brownlie for me. I'll be content for whoever is chosen.
  19. I've been busy & missed this. Excellent idea. Count me in too, please.
  20. Gianfranco Zola of Italy against Nigeria in the USA tournament. Sent off for a second caution.
  21. Tyler Adams American footballer plays for Red Bull Leipzig, but previously played for New York Red Bulls in USA. Clubs in different continents, same sponsor?
  22. A most unfortunate case. He sadly passed away last September.
  23. Tony Adams, former Arsenal player, became President of the Rugby Football League in (I think) 2019.
