JAG1970
John Hansen? Although he would normally play right back and therefore 2? Jimmy Johnstone and Alex Rae. I’m prepared to be embarrassed...
a f kincaid
John Hansen only played @ "3" three times but never against Celtic. Think it's Celtic away in the League Cup 17/8/1968 0-4 . Little-known Russel Brown ( 8 1st XI appearances) @ 3 and John Flanagan @ 10.

Bang on, Brown was injured in the next game vs. Morton and never played again. The newspaper reported he was out for the year.

Jaggernaut
How on earth did Scott Symon manage to get us relegated with this squad?! A big group, and of course many familiar names, but several escape me. For example (players only): back row: 2nd and 3rd from left, and 2nd and 3rd from right middle row: 1st and 2nd from left; between Donnie Mac. and Bobby Gray; 1st and 2nd from right front row: 1st left Edited July 11, 2021 by Jaggernaut
jaggy
Is middle row 2nd from right Nobby Clark? Looks a bit short though

Actually I don't even recognize most of the names of those players whose faces I didn't recognize. I guess they didn't make it out of the reserves into the first team.

Every photo I've seen of Laurie was after he lost most of his hair! Later in his career he played with Margate. The Margate history website does have an excellent biography of him. He also later played with Canterbury City. Laurie moved to Toronto in Canada in 1977, where he lived until his death in 2006, of a heart attack. He was 69 when he passed away. Laurie's brother Bobby also played for the Jags. Edited August 2, 2021 by East Kent Jag II Bobby Thomson
