Blues Brother
Rest in Peace you played one of the best ever golf shots under pressure.
Fawlty Towers
I started getting interested in golf around the time Christy played his great shot in the 1989 Ryder Cup so I tried to model my swing on his and I was fortunate enough to watch him in person at the Open and Scottish Open a few times and not only was he an excellent player but he was a complete gentleman. Rest in Peace.

Blackpool Jags
Not saying I'm old, but I remember watching (an ageing) Christy O'Connor senior playing in either the first or second round of the '66 Open at Muirfield. RIP Christy Junior. Respect.
allyo
I got his autograph at the Glasgow open/classic at Haggs Castle some time in the early-mid eighties. To be honest I'd never heard of him at the time, but remember him being nice to me and my dad. Ryder cup was his moment. RIP
