Any idea what's going to be in the agenda around fan engagement?

From the minutes of the last meeting:

"FE thanked everyone for coming along on a cold November evening. He advised them that the survey and their views at the meeting would be reported by the Trustees to the next Club board meeting in December and we would report back to the next meeting."

I would assume there would be an opportunity for any points that those in attendance want to raise to be discussed as well.

Hi Sandy

I don't know if you made the game last evening or picked up a programme if you did but there was a very good article about this.

To summarise:

The Trust Board met the Club Board on the 20th of January to feedback to them the findings of the survey done earlier in the season plus the 2 meetings held so far.

The meeting before the Accies game (1pm on 18/02/17) will give feedback from that meeting plus the following items:

  • A presentation from Ian Maxwell on the challenges facing Scottish football, their impact on PTFC's business plan and our ability to compete as a team, including the end of the current TV deal.
  • A discussion on the possible introduction of Strict Liability by the Scottish Government and what response fans think the Club should have to this.
  • Jagzone - how it is working and potential service improvements.
  • The proposal for a short life fans working group to consider and identify ideas for attracting more fans to games (one of the top priorities identified by fans in the survey).

There is also going to be a Meet the Board event in March which Archie will also attend so that fans can also have the opportunity to raise on and off the field issues directly with the Board and manager.

Hopefully there will be a good attendance for this as it is covering some very important points and there are lots of fans, many on here, who have expressed opinions/ideas on these areas in the past so lets take the opportunity to have our say.

It was a small room, but packed. Probably about 80 people?

1. Presentation from Maxi on the club structure for admin and footballing sides.

2. Stadium - Planning application in for a disabled viewing platform in the JHS to allow a better view and ensure compliance with UEFA licence etc. The Bing - planning permission granted but no interested parties to put money into a development. Looking at approx 1000 seat stand in addition to the main development. PROPCO are still a thing.

3. Strict liability - I will probably put up a separate post about this. It is a complex issue and there was no real consensus reached about how we should respond as a club. David Beattie is definitely against legislation dealing with this and Maxi didn't give a strong position but again felt that SPFL self-regulation would work best. A survey should be on the official site very soon to try and better guage fan feeling on this.

4. Kits - Maxi acknowledged that the new designs were not particularly well received. Joma rather than TTL restrict our choices to their templates and the club only see the templates in other colours. It would be better to have some mock ups as the designs don't necessarily give a great impression of the finished article.

5. Ticket Pricing - There was at least one person who was unhappy about us letting in kids in the away support for less than they charge our kids. Maxi pointed out that for most matches, this would make a very small financial difference to the club and they don't want to get into tat for tat with the other clubs. It was also raised by one person that season tickets were too cheap, but it is fair to say no-one else felt this way. Attendance figures over the last 3 seaons have not changed hugely, but we are down a bit from 14/15.

6. Next meeting will be after the split, probably on a game day, but hopefully in a bigger room. You were able to bring in your pint from the Aitken Suite if that incentivises anyone to come next time.

These are not in the order they necessarily happened and if I have missed anything, please chip in.
