Stephen1876
Thoroughly enjoyed the game and looking forward to the next round. It's good to see the way the youth team is instructed to play, all very confident on the ball. Â The whole team strolled but McCarthy was a clear cut above. Some very exciting prospects in there and hope to see some of them in the first team over the next year or two
Weebaw1
Poor opposition but there is some great talent at Thistle. Â McLaughlin, Lamont, Penrice in particular excellent, others very good. Â Nisbet, McCarty played well but within themselves and other youngsters I had never seen looked good. Â Next round should be great. lady-isobel-barnett
Seen the U20s play better but this was their first competitive game of the season. McLaughlin starts the season the way he left the last. He's definitely got the knack of being in the right place, eye for goal etc. Lamont's goal was the highlight. Great pass from Fitzpatrick (I think), excellent first touch and finish from Lamont.
The Sunnylaw Jag
Is this tournament part of the PAWS set up? If so I don't hink I'll be able to afford it at this rate.

lol no I was not including Irn Bru Cup as part of PAWS unless told otherwise by any individual who wanted themselves included.  Ps was there much of a crowd there last night and also how did Sneddon look in goals?
Dr.D
Maybe around 200' Sneddon - one good save Nothing much to do. Distribution good.

Sneddon looks comfortable using either foot, which is always a good attribute for a goalie these days.
Rid Skwerr
I cannot speak for the providence of the following comment, but a podcast I follow (the terrace - highly recommended) reckons we've got a really good one in Sneddon. elevenone
Away to Stranraer next round, should be a decent challenge for the lads.
ThickAsThieves
I've never been to Stair Park before and since the first team don't have a game that weekend, I'll be going. Looking forward to it.
lady-isobel-barnett
Difficult but the recent game in the League Cup means we know a bit about them. If we do use a couple of overagers and they played in that game that would perhaps be a leveller

lady-isobel-barnett
Off topic but McLaughlin has gone to Stirling Albion on a season long loan. Â If the lad goes on to have the career as illustrious as both Jay Rodriguez and Robert Snodgrass have I reckon we'll be fair chuffed. BILL.H
Now Friday 1st Sept. 7.45 ko
a f kincaid
SPFL website says the change was made at the request of the clubs. 7.45 on a Friday night instead of 3.00 on a Saturday when there's no league game. It isn't immediately obvious why this makes any sense. Would be interesting to know the reason. There might have been a decent wee crowd. I was seriously thinking about going - but not now.
Wayfarer
bollox, fancied a wee day trip on the Saturday seeing as the 1st team are not playing. Why did they reschedule? Thought the Lithuania V Scotland game was on the Friday night
scotty
The game isn't even listed on the official site.
