What if they shut down the season?

Why have they released the votes without everyone voting?

Absolute madness! That's a lot of pressure on the last team in the championship to submit a vote. Basically all rests on them now.

And there’s the worry. Doncaster and co want this to go through. They’ll be on the phone to this club the now offering them whatever they want to vote in the way the SPFL want them to vote.
It’s an absolute shambles.

Word on the street is that Hearts voted against and Rangers took the huff because their alternative revolution was thrown out for being legally incompetent.

So Rangers voted YES, and handed Celtic the title! That'll go down well with their supporters.

From the BBC:

"The SPFL's proposal to finish the lower league season hangs in the balance with three clubs yet to vote.

The 17:00 BST deadline has passed but only 39 out of 42 teams have responded, with the fate of the resolution resting on one Scottish Championship club."

Should the three missing votes therefore not be deemed as abstentions? After all they failed to meet the DEADLINE!

This is a 28 days motion according to the rules but the SPFL wanted it done in 2 days. So the 5pm deadline has no standing. The clubs still to vote have another 26 days to do so.

No - rumour is that they didn’t vote. And it was because the SPFL threw out their revised proposal as it was legally incompetent in the SPFLs opinion.

Why issue and set a deadline if has no standing and can be ignored.  Madness all round!

stuff on Twitter that spfl threatened us with no prize money if we voted against

might be linked to this ....

Worth remembering this section from Rangers statement earlier:

‘Over the last 36 hours, we have received numerous reports from fellow Scottish clubs relating to attempts to coerce and bully them into voting for the SPFL’s own resolution.’
