Interview with Ian McCall up on jagzone ...

- goalkeeper will be announced shortly

- still looking for a centre back , midfielder good at going forward and a striker

- wants to be very attacking particularly at home and score lots more goals

Seeing as Doncaster is looking for permission to call leagues when half of the games are played, we'll need to not only get maximum points, but score lots of goals.

We cannot afford any slow start this season.

Sounds good! Attacking football and goals galore! Exciting!

Looks like McCall is implementing a plan leading to a strong and balanced squad.

Agree with need for goalkeeper, centre back and striker (at least one with a goal scoring track record) but don't we already have an attacking, goalscoring midfielder in Gordon and perhaps Murray!

Goalkeeper? Hopefully an experienced one.

Won't be a return for Scott Fox! Read somewhere recently he picked up a serious injury and will be out of action for sometime!

McCall said he was on BBC tonight, if it was Sportsound did anyone hear him?

Said he wanted Doolan to come in 1 day a week, to do training with the strikers (presumably to bring on Rudden and Mansell, although he didn’t specify that) but said, it’ll happen one day, right now he’s a bit busy with his academy. He didn’t mention whether he was interested in bringing him back as a player (which suggests that was never an option). He said, he’ll say his piece on the whole Relegation controversy when the time is right, that time isn’t now.
He wants to change the whole club mentality, as he’s mentioned before.

We’ve missed out on a few targets because of relegation, but there’s still a few he’s hopeful of getting.

Couldn’t really disagree with much he said throughout the show.

I wonder if we might be looking at Rohan Ferguson, he was previously at Airdrie and Motherwell then was on loan at Linfield last season, he played in the Europa qualifiers and ended up winning the league. Might be good competition for Sneddon? He’s 22 and according to Wiki is 6 foot 1.

He not linked with Ayr United, Falkirk and queen of the south currently?
