Tbh I think she’s taking more qualified advice and Scotland will have fans at games before England .....she’s playing a blinder

As someone commented on Radio Scotland this morning. She doesn't need to do that well, just better than Boris. Which isn't difficult.

This. Let no-one be uncertain on this point.

All UK politicians have not been at their best before & during Covid. We have been a shambles with late lockdown, shit testing strategy, care home exposure etc.

Yet some folk claim SNP have played a blinder?! Yes they communicated more clearly than Boris, but they too have been blind to actions that would have saved lives.

Yes saved actual lives and family hurt.

A blinder @javeajag ? No mate

Deaths from suicide in the UK this month exceeded those from or with COVID, with the sidelining of mental health counseling (and cancer screening, heart screening, and people going to GP), and with furlough ending  and the financial crisis that is hammering on the doors, the bigger crisis is yet to come. The governments have ignored almost everything else to concentrate on one threat with unknown impact severity.

It’s like telling drivers there is an issue with car lights, telling you to avoid driving at night and have converted all the MOT stations and kwik -fits to headlight shops, what’s happening now are cars are crashing due to worn tyres and faulty brakes, but the slightest defect on headlights is being detected.

If you firmly believe that such accolades can be given with a straight face in this global mess then you have been a bit hasty in bestowing it to the FM.

If you're looking for a PM who has, as you say, played a blinder then look to someone like Jacinda Ardern in NZ.

However in the absolute shambles that has been the UK and its lamentable response to this virus, Nicola Sturgeon has just been the most competent looking of a sad decrepit bunch  of UK politicians - no need for a special award.

I think this is the case around the world, not just the U.K. Not saying that this has been the right strategy - but who knows what the death toll would have been if other procedures had continued.

It’s not in Scandinavia. Ops, screening  and counseling etc carried on as normal
