The Thistle Archive
Inspired by Saturday's 3 goal comeback vs. Morton, our brand new page is introduced by popular demand, featuring every comeback win in history as well as all the comeback draws from 2 or more behind: Comebacks → The natural companion page to the above, this new addition to our 'Club records' section, features every loss from a winning position, as well as all the games drawn after being 2 or more up in-play. What's the record? Collapses → Utterly brilliant as always. Thank you so much. Two takeaways: 1] It is a pity that in August 2025 we missed the opportunity to celebrate the centenary of our record comeback from 4-0 down to obliterate Hibs 6-4. 2] In the past 30 years, we have on 7 occasions collapsed from 2 goals up and on 7 occasion we have come back from 2 goals down. Incredibly I attended all 14 games!
spandau
I remember the back-to-back comebacks against Clyde and East Fife back in November '86. We were so bad back then that these were the highlights of the season. We didn't win any of our first 10 league games that season.

Fawlty Towers
Looking forward to an in depth match report on this evening's Glasgow Cup tie against Rangers (away). Only joking but the reports you put up for the youth games and these sort of games is much appreciated. Hopefully an opportunity for Loughrey and Crawford from the first team to get some game time.

Saw someone on FB saying Crawford, Martin and Diack all started. We lost 5-0.

There is a trend of having more minutes after the 90th, so I’m not sure it is a fair comparison

St Johnstone archived → THISTLE'S UNPRECEDENTED LATE DRAMA ● 22-year-old Fraser Taylor makes his Thistle debut. ● Thistle have been awarded a penalty in 4 games in January 2026, matching the club-record for any given month. The freak streak was last equalled in March 1963. ● Oisin Smyth's converted spot-kick prevents an unwanted share of the regular play penalty record of 4 consecutive misses. ● 4 Thistle penalties in 2026 already matches the entire 2025 calendar year total and betters the whole of 2024 total by 1! ● Thistle have scored 8 "injury time" goals in 2025-26, a record tally in our database (see graphic below). ● Thistle have never won a 2nd tier match in Perth, now 17 attempts, 1983 to date. ● Thistle's running tally of 60 competitive goals in 2025-26 is now one beyond last season's final total of 59. 1

Jaggernaut
It's good to know that the Tuffmeister went on to have a successful career. Hmm, have we ever had a former goalie as manager?

Dick Dastardly
I have a recollection of Archie putting on the gloves when a keeper was sent off or injured and we had used all the subs.
