How you work that out ?  Even if they lost they would still be 1 point in front with a game to play each , if Cove won they would go above us with 1 game to play

If Falkirk don't win on Saturday then Thistle win all 5 remaining games they are guaranteed 1st place.

Great game tonight. Some top performers in our team.

We are right in it to win in now, rather than just playing to reach the play offs.

Imagine how Falkirk feel now compared to just a couple of weeks ago?

loads of hard work for our guys ahead but they must be thinking momentum is with us, we can do it. And we have the new improved Zak Rudden.....let's hope he goes from strength to strength.

It's good to be us again.

Top scorers in the league now, which I can't quite believe. We've scored 12 of our 28 goals since the middle of last week!

(without reply)

Total of 18 goals in six league games. Having scored 10 in our first 11.

I think I would like Cove to beat Falkirk on Saturday so that after 17 games the table would look like

Falkirk 31 pts

Cove 31 pts

JAGS 30pts.

this makes next Tuesday very interesting with

Montrose v Cove

Peterhead v Falkirk

Dumbarton v JAGS.

We need Montrose and Peterhead to recover from the drubbings  we handed out to them and put in a stuffy performance against our main rivals.

We of course have to beat Dumbarton - the weekend off should help us here because we will have to work very hard to win this game.

After that it's easy - just win our 4 play-off games and Championship here we come!!

The influence of Bell, Tiffoney and now Rudden in recent games is clear to see. That plus an on form Bannigan is giving the team a functioning spine and is spreading confidence throughout the team.
Sneddon didn’t have much to do but looked confident when called upon. Good strong performances too from Foster and Docherty.
Aside from a shaky few mins of careless passing and ball watching just before we scored our second (something other teams may punish) we looked strong all over the park.
Hopefully hitting form at precisely the right time.

Excellent performance tonight. Tiffoney has made a huge difference to our attack and Bell has brought an air of calm to our back 4. Both look like a good bit of business.

That was really the first time we have played a front 3 which I think McCall wanted to do for some time and its starting to gel.

The top 5 split will be interesting. Right now it looks like first place will be between us, Falkirk and Cove. Its unlikely the 5th place team pre-split will have enough points to challenge for the title so with nothing to play for will they take many points?

Momentum will be a big factor and it will be really interesting to see how Falkirk and Cove respond should we go into the split either in 1st place.

Falkirk have Cove on Saturday and then Peterhead away. Peterhead need points to avoid getting pulled into 9th place.

Cove have Falkirk and then Montrose. If East Fife get something from their game on Saturday v Peterhead then Montrose need to get something form the Cove game to make the top 5.

We have Dumbarton who need points to avoid 9th place so its by no means a given we will get 3 points. However if we can somehow go into the split in 1st it would also mean that the first round of post split fixtures would be us v Airdire/East Fife/Montrose at Firhill whilst Falkirk play Cove again twice in 10 days. It could lead to quite a points swing.
