or just maybe with a depleted squad, 4 untested academy lads on the bench & the game not being put fully to bed, that the suitable coaching team risk assessment was use up injury time at the end of the game with unnecessary substitutions that won't adversely affect the result

is that you Ian ?

A few musings based on the highlights:

A couple of excellent saves by Sneddon. But no doubt some people will want to see another team's young, inexperienced, and recently gaff-prone player in goal for us next week.

Akinola: looks like we might have signed a versatile and very useful player.

MacIvor, Docherty and Tiffoney all seemed to be particularly prominent in the game, in a positive way for us.

Holt: the next Liam Lindsay?

Assuming you're referring to his goalscoring. Fingers crossed Kevin can keep this up. He hasn't ever been known as a regular goalscoring defender. Maybe when he played fullback he didn't always come up for set pieces? He looks the part at both ends of the pitch.

Akinola and Holt must be kept together. Excellent signings (so far).

Perhaps Mayo to RB?

.... and if Holt continues to impress in the centre then we really need left back cover. Happy enough with Foster but if/when he's unavailable it could go against the grain to break up a centreback partnership just for left back cover. Besides bringing in a competent left back would allow Foster to cover right back on occasions.

I was under the impression that Mayo favours centreback and centre mid ahead of right back but I'm sure he could hold down the latter position till McKenna gets fit. Gordon's done fine so far but he's not been subject to anything like sustained pressure.
