A part time player at 36, with a job as a bin man in Arbroath, Pretty sure he is too old even till the end of the season.

Bobby Linn is one of those names that seems to have been around for more than 20 years. But I’m sure he’s not that old

Agree. Think he has been around a while. I think he started with Dundee  and looks like he will be finishing with Arbroath.

If there was any chance we were remotely interested in him it would be as a short term signingvto fulfil  a specific role.

Didn't realise he was that old!

Anyway now that I know he is a bin man and a part time player - I doubt we could afford him!

We should try to get rid now.

He’s just rendered himself worthless and probably useless on the park. He ain’t no Erskine!

Even 40k, the sum we lost out of last week’s intransigence, would at least allow us to cut our losses.

Lets hope if its true Rudden has just done a Ryan Williamson and Dundee go down as we go up !

Nah it would be best for him. Championship is his level.

Strange choice by Rudden. Dundee are at risk of relegation and he will be signing for a manager who might not be in the job by the time he joins.

Add that his mentor with be Griffiths or Cummings and it doesn't jump out as being the environment for a young striker who needs time to develop.

Smart move for Rudden would be to not move in the window. That way he can see where Dundee and we are in the summer and go with the club that can offer him SPL football.

For us it comes down to if we have a suitable replacement lined up then its better to cash in now. If we don't keep him until the end of the season.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dundee offer a couple of numpties(McDaid?) to try and get Rudden this month in a swap.

Hopefully we are savvy enough not to fall for that.

Not a surprise he is going. How he and the fans will react is another matter. Its almost written we will play Dundee in the play offs.....probably best he goes now. Its the modern game so not blaming the player. But Dundee......then again clearly he will be getting decent money.

Rudden obviously wants to continue playing in the championship next year. No great loss. Take what’s offered this month and get another striker in

dundee have lost Cummings and Griffiths this month so will want him in now

I find it hard to get annoyed about this. Having played most of his games for Thistle at a time when we couldn’t get in the ground to see him, l can’t say l have a massive attachment to him staying. If we can get another striker in then, all the best Zac, and we move on.

Not sure if it’s possible but megginson from cove would be pleasing. Did hear McCall mention him in an interview after we won the league.
