But, what comes next? I'd really like someone to sketch out the next steps.

Because I haven't a scooby what happens next.

As @Woodstock Jag mentioned above, we had the first board meeting this evening, where old board stepped down and new stepped up. The new board is meeting on video call over the weekend to start driving this forward. There are a few admin things being worked on already and the new board is already communicating regarding steps forward.

Im very happy to have met (by video) the new board tonight and also the old board who I’d like to thank for what they’ve done in difficult circumstances but also for the support and encouragement offered to us 9 going forward.

We will get updates out in due course and my DM’s are open on here if anyone needs to ask anything

Firstly well done to those elected, kudos to anyone with the drive to stand for this and for the time they are willing to commit.

Is there anyway of seeing who I had voted for or for the "manifesto" of the candidates?

As a bit of background I was a paid member of the foundation from day 1 and happily signed the open letter.

However, I must confess to being rather trepidatious about the self-appointed "Jags for Change" block however, particularly with them dominating the posts. My feeling is we don't need yet more splinter groups in the support and I don't understand why their candidates couldn't have stood on their own personal statements and views.

How did one become a member of Jags for Change? Is it an open group for others to join? Where other candidates given the opportunity to join the group? Are they intending to act as a collective in the Board and therefore push through anything they decide?

I want the best for my club and come with no knowledge of any of the individuals involved with the Foundation, either in the past or now, but, rightfully or wrongfully, this does leave a slight sour taste in my mouth.

I am more than happy to be proven wrong in this and understand more.

Derby Jag,

As far as I’m concerned, Jags for Change has served its purpose. We got together to engage the support on the continued viability and importance of The Jags Foundation in this fan ownership journey, to make clear that there would be plenty enough candidates to run the TJF Board to fill most of the positions, and to encourage others to run to work with us to make it a success.

The Open Letter was an organic process, but obviously there was some initial discussion between its original signatories about its content before we invited others to sign it. We are like minded and aligned about the way forward and there’s really nothing more to it than that. We ran a slate because we think it’s better that the members know we’re aligned and buying into the same approach than that they’re left to work that out from short candidate statements.

But now we’re just 7 of the 9 individuals in whom the membership has put its trust. Time is obviously of the essence, which means we will need to take some swift decisions, but as far as I’m concerned there is no distinction now between JFC and non-JFC candidates; there is just a board of 9.

I think it's fair to say that Norge and I the most active on here, and @jaf (Sandy Fyfe) is also an occasional poster. More of us are on the main Thistle Facebook groups and some (but not all) of us are also contactable on Twitter.

For my own part, happy to be a point of contact if people prefer to speak with us through the forum, but you can also email the Foundation at [email protected].

I know that the purpose of TJF is to become an acceptable vehicle to receive the shares currently held by 3BC but I would like to think that the board will also have some thought to contingecies if 3BC decide that another group should be given the shares.

Maybe some forum on the Jags Foundation website would be useful to get the views of members as I doubt all of them participate in this one.

This is my specialist subject!  Fred Elliot (butcher) was Ashley’s dad - Fred Gee worked at the Rovers for Annie Walker alongside Bet Lynch!
