Dick Dastardly
Can I be pedantic and say that none of the London teams are based geographically in the city of London. Might need to check, but I think that United are geographically in Salford. Edited June 8, 2022 by Dick Dastardly
Dick Dastardly
Technically Old Trafford is in Greater Manchester, but out side the boundaries of the City of Manchester. Being pedantic, the question was What are the 7 cities… so there are only 5 as the cities of Manchester and London can’t ! Dick Dastardly
We have the terms “brace” for scoring 2 goals in a game, and “hat-trick” for 3. Does anyone know the terms used in UK for 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 goals scored in a single game ?

Our John Simpson scored 9 in our Scottish Cup win against Royal Albert. 9 in a match should be a Simpson!

partickthedog
I am sure that I have heard the expression "nap hand" or "going nap" being used, but not being a card player, I am not sure what it means (without cheating by looking it up). Could it be 5?
