Killie maybe shadedthe 1st half, but we bossed the 2nd - until the ;last 10 mins or so. So 1-1 maybe fair. Pens is a lottery, glad we got it. laukat Posted July 13, 2022 Report Share Posted July 13, 2022 Thought we dominated until the subs came on. Weston does look a bit lightweight and looked a wee bit lost on the right wing. Thought Milne, Turner and Muirhead were very good and the rest good. Smith started to come onto a game early second half and should probably have scored twice. Overall that was a very good advert for buying a season ticket at Firhill. Difficult to believe he'd be near offside. As others have said Milne and Muirhead were outstanding. Turner improved as the match wore on and finished the game as the best midfielder on the park. First 15 we were tentative, not helped by the loss of the goal and general panic on cross balls into our area during that period of the game. Thought we were very good thereafter apart from most of the last ten when we were under the cosh a bit. Even so, we failed to take either of two great chances before then to have made that immaterial. Both disallowed goals were perfectly valid in my opinion. Weston made a poor choice on the 3v3 late on - he'll learn from that. The penalties were a hoot because Killie didn't expect to be in that position. Great fun winning the pens though. It’s only taken the manager most of a season to realise Turner through the middle is better. Mostly good at corners and free kicks too. I felt our bench was a bit inexperienced yesterday, we could do with a couple of signings that were not SEVCO loanees.
