ChiThistle
Do the match day announcers ever play music from local, unsigned bands? If not, might be a neat thing to do. And to release the match day playlist on Spotify or something so anyone in attendance could explore it more. On a smaller level, seems like a cool thing to do. On a grander level, never know when you might be the club that helped out a future superstar. And I doubt it would really cost a thing except time. Yellow & Redneck
I used go work at Sunny Govan Radio way back in the day. They have a great repository of unsigned local bands and music. Might be worth reaching out

Fawlty Towers
I think we should be playing "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who just for the very apt line: Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Would be good to get them added to the Firhill playlist.
Barney Rubble
'The Torture Never Stops' by Frank Zappa would certainly be appropriate after events both on and off the pitch in the last ten days.

sandy
I’d suggest The ‘In’ Crowd by Bryan Ferry / Roxy Music. Cos that’s what the PTFC Trust must be. They’re in with the ‘in’ crowd. Edited August 17, 2022 by sandy

exiledjag
We are the champions by Queen. On second thoughts perhaps not appropriate - not a local band!

Weebaw1
Any intro by the late lamented brilliant inspiring under - appreciated Stuart Adamson would get the crowd and the players up for battle. If they couldn’t be inspired by Fields of Fire they may as well play Coldplay!
partickthedog
Smoke on the Water (floating over from the canal) Variation (as Variations seem to be all the rage these days) on Pink Floyd song: We don't need Trust representation. So we need Julia by the Eurythmics: When the leaves turn from green to brown And autumn shades come tumbling down

ChiThistle
Well this thread sure deviated from my original intent, but…..<looks over at linesman>…..play on, says the ref! Travis’ “Driftwood” seems apt for the situation…. You’re driftwood floating underwater, breaking into pieces, pieces, pieces. Just driftwood, hollow and with no use…. And you really didn’t think it would happen, but it really is the end of the line. So I’m sorry that you turned to driftwood, but you’ve been drifting for a long long time.
