BowenBoys Posted February 3, 2023 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2023 Queen's Park have been ejected from the Scottish Cup for using a player that was ineligible on the original date of the match. Their place in the Fifth Round will be taken by Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The result of the Fourth Round tie between Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Queen's Park, however, remains the same. Our competition is based on the official SFA records. Queen's Park won the tie. Points will, therefore, be awarded to those who selected Queen's Park to win. You were the only player to pick Darvel and you were rewarded handsomely. I would suggest, though, that the Standings show that this is the exception that proves the existence of the rule. Of course Thistle can win on Saturday. Some of my best days as a Jags fan have been unexpected victories against the OF. Generally, it's a case of better to travel hopefully. The exception to this rule is Metz when it was better to travel without bothering to check how long the bus journey was! Anyway, point laboured.
