Proof in the pudding and all that but Kris Doolan's long and more than well qualified for the job. The "jobs for the boys mentality" argument does not hold water in this instance. He succeeded Scott Allison in December 2021. Scott had succeeded Gerry Britton. Ryan McCann was the Head of Youth Phase - basically an SFA mandated title for "Head Coach" for Project Brave reasons. So he would have been hands on and the 'manager' of the under 18s/reserve side(with input from the first team management for reserves too, I expect). So Kris will now fill this role and interesting to see that all these years on he is back serving under the man his coaching career started with in Paul McDonald as per news release. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Let's hope this is the first step in a journey that leads to him being a successful Thistle first team manager.
