There’s a certain newspaper saying 6 figure deal. 18 month contract with possible year extension

Just seen that. If we have got 100k plus that's probably a good deal in the circumstances! Time will tell. Certainly looks to me that we have thrown the towel in on any prospect of promotion via the play offs....

thats 2 left backs away.  Interesting to compare where they were signed from.

Harry from a Scottish lower league club.  A signing route that someone on the board doesn’t see as a particular signing route.

Charlie signed from an English academy- that someone on the board at a q and a suggested would be our signing strategy as at some point we would make money developing players from.

I know what signing route I think was  successful in this case.

Interesting to note the players who have gone on to better things (SPL) over the last 18 months. Holt, Docherty, Tiffoney, Turner (briefly), McMillan (Exeter), and now Milne. All signed by McCall. Always thought it would have been advantageous had McCall moved upstairs to oversee recruitment but that ship has sailed.

Some would say that Turner was out of his depth in the top flight. I'd say his performances this season suggest some truth in that. I think we were fortunate to have him at his relatively short-lived peak the season before last.

I think Turner has been massively miss managed this season. Playing arguably your best and most creative midfielder at right back is daft.

He's tried his best at right-back but he's smart enough to know his failings there have cost us points and getting subbed off against Ayr at halftime did nothing for his confidence. Players thrive on confidence and belief, just now he is playing like all of his has been taken away.

id say the majority of the team are underperforming this season including Turner, similarily i expected Megwa to be a huge signing and has been average, even Ashcroft has struggled in some games.  Part of the responsibility to sort all of this out is on the manager as well.  I personally dont believe things are good behind the scenes

To some extent you shouldn't criticise Turner without criticising our midfield in general. He's a rather delicate cog in what is a too delicate entity. Opponents either wander thru our midfield and/or brush off our attempts at possession in that area.

If we had that enforcer type midfielder perhaps Turner would excel in the midfield role where he's more suited. Of course you can say the same about Robinson and even Crawford. I doubt very much if Turner as a player has lost that much. More that we don't win enough of the ball these days and thus he sees less of it.

The record reporting Milne having medical and FIVE figure transfer fee agreed

I can more believe 5 figures as being cash we will receive. I suspect the 6 figures is based on the value of getting Drysdale on loan plus potentially performance targets for Milne to hit.

Milne's been really good but can't see why any team would pay £100k for a 28 year old championship player who's out of contract in a few months. I think we will be lucky to get £50k in cash.

If figure reported is true (5 figures plus a young lad Drysdale on loan from Hearts who has been out most of the season injured and yet to feature) then it would be fair to say Hearts are getting the better end of the deal.

Anyway best of luck Harry in your next chapter, always a cracking player for us.
