Fawlty Towers
Premier Sports Cup draw is 3 weeks today, first group game weekend of 12/13 July https://spfl.co.uk/news/premier-sports-cup-202526 The Trust Trophy (the old Challenge Cup) is getting a new format. Although does not really bother us as we will enter (and exit) on the 9/10 December and the club can budget for the £30K prize money now. https://spfl.co.uk/news/kdm-evolution-trophy
jaggy
Decent money if we can manage to get to the final of the challenge cup. Unlikely for us though 🙄
Auld Jag
10 Premier league B teams. They get more than enough by playing in the premiership, without being placed into a competition for lower league teams.

The opening "Champions League style" phase of 6 games seems to be totally in the interests of the B teams, who I agree should be nowhere near this. The powers that be appear to be obsessed with trying to shoehorn B teams into the process every which way they can in the hope that something will stick. I cannot imagine hard-pressed League 1 and 2 teams welcoming 6 extra games.

One of them might be ours and the extra revenue from the B team winning a trophy the first team never did might be welcome. 1
Fawlty Towers
The draw for the Premier Sports Cup takes place tomorrow: https://spfl.co.uk/news/premier-sports-cup-seedings-50623 I predict the group will be Dundee, Partick Thistle, Stenhousemuir, Dumbarton & Stirling Albion. jaggy
Ross C, ICT, Elgin and Brora. The last 2 will make many fans happy if away games but I think 1 will be at home. Probably the elusive Elgin City
ThickAsThieves
It’s always Pot 1 and Pot 4 away for us Pot 2 teams - so Elgin City in your scenario - with Pot 3 and 5 at home.

MarciaBlaine
The trick is to think of the dullest, least inspiring combo available: St Johnstone, Hamilton, East Fife and Clyde for me.
Ancipital
East Fife would at least have a small novelty value since the last time we played there, in that it's gone from one of the grounds in the SPFL which was furthest away from a train station to one of the closest. Elgin would obviously tick all the boxes, Spartans is a new ground and Montrose and Annan are good away days if on a Saturday. Obviously it'll be Dumbarton though. From pots 1 and 3 just don't want anyone in the same league or if possible no-one we played last year either Pot 5 is a home game against a team we should be beating which we managed to not do last year. elevenone
Would like:- St Mirren, Kelty Hearts, Elgin and East Kilbride. Will likely get:- Ross County, Hamilton, Dumbarton and Clyde.
fifexile
Would like teams we will beat (ideally including Spartans or Elgin City away on a Saturday)
lady-isobel-barnett
I've seen Thistle sides play at Spartans & East Kilbride. I've not even been in Elgin City's ground. The only one remaining of the senior grounds. Maybe one day!

ThickAsThieves
Missed out on Edinburgh City away last season as I was at The Open, so that's good for me to tick off. Although I'm aware it's a dire stadium.

Jimmy McD
It's not the Meadowbank as was, still got the running track around the pitch and then some... terrible..

partickthedog
I think that I have mentioned before that when we played Stranraer away a few seasons ago I was talking to a friendly home supporter who turned out to be the Stranraer Vice-Chairman. He was waxing lyrical about Stuart Bannigan and saying how much he would like to sign him as an experienced head to hold things together in midfield and help to mentor some of the keen but raw youngsters in the squad. Perhaps we will be coming up against Banzo in the League Cup?

Stephen1876
We will I think be away to County and home to QoS based on the seeding, so it just becomes a question of a trip to Edinburgh or Stranraer.
