There's a few probably good enough for the top tier, even if only as squad players. If we don't get promoted there's also a few we should try and re-sign. chunky jag Posted April 16 Report Share Posted April 16 I like what i’ve seen from the 3 loanees, i’d be well chuffed if we could sign any/all of them permanently, even if we went up. of the current squad players - obviously stanway but that ship has no doubt sailed. i’d like to keep chalmers, and if we saw a strong finish to season, fitzy, particularly if we stay down. if price was right -as a good squad player - i still like kyle turner and wouldn’t be against having him off the bench at least. I still think he has more to give. the other guys- martin i have not saw tons of- i liked his 20 min cameo up at Elgin, like turner, if we stay down, i think he’d be good squad/depth option. had high hopes for zander mackenzie, but it hasnt worked out. I’d let crawford go too. Gms too is probably just for a few months, thought he looked good vs dunfermline but they were so poor i reckon i cda come on and looked liked i belong! Indications are that he will get a new deal and I am happy with that. He is the sort of player who is not flashy and goes under the radar to an extent but apppreciated by his team mates. Really pleased that Harry is doing so well as he always gave 100% for us. Every time he has gone up a level (Cove Rangers to Thistle to Hearts), he has worked hard to adjust, and then excelled. Would've been a great away day. Easy to reach by train/road and a town with a few fine hostelries. Looking increasingly likely Brora will be the new "Elgin". Something along the lines of not meeting bronze licence award due to accounts not being audited in time. Seems their ground met criteria too but no waiver or extension was granted.
