As an exile who'll be able to make it to no more than one game next season (that's been the case for years), I won't be buying a season ticket, but will be subscribing for all the home game live streams, and have contributed elsewhere (e.g., season tickets for others), and will go for several of the usual "offers" (I won't mention them.). That's my choice, and I'm happy with that, and remain open to any other (reasonable) promotion(!!)/campaigns. (I really do miss the hospitality and Hall of Fame events!).

Enjoy the new season everybody!

The live stream has been a godsend for us nomads so hope it keeps going.

Ive also had a season ticket for most of last 20 seasons since moving to Norway, but only made 4 home games last season, in 2 minds about purchasing this season with the new TV deal meaning more Friday night games as depending on flight availability and how up front the change to fixtures are I wouldn’t want to book up an expensive trip to Glasgow and find out I’d miss kick off as I’m still driving from my flight from Aberdeen

Nice to see the squad making a contribution to the Jags For Good campaign:

Must confess that I thought we would be sitting at more than 1532 season tickets sold at this point but the club are not exactly bombarding us with their sales pitch - hopefully that will be getting ramped up and people are also holding off until nearer the end of the month to get theirs.

Am I right in thinking we're around 25% short of the number sold at this time last season?

If so, could it be because since then we've lost three legends (KD, BG,SB; four if you include Robert Reid!)?

And the repeat of a disappointing end to the play-offs, and a generally poorish season overall?

Actually, it seems pretty obvious.

I'm not sure if it's because we were "poorish" as such, but rather because we have been so consistent in always finishing 3rd/4th that a general malaise sets in. I think that had we done much worse (only just avoided relegation or even been relegated) there might have been more of a rallying effect. Had we gone down and come straight back up again, there would be more of a feel good factor, even if this obviously represents a worse couple of seasons in real terms than making and failing in the promotion play-offs a couple of times.

There are obviously other issues, also. The standard of football last year in terms of entertainment was particularly dire. And there is a weird failure to communicate properly at the moment, in particular in term of budget. My understanding is that budget will be less than last year but still perfectly competitive and in line with that of about 2 or 3 seasons ago. However, it does seem that there is a strong narrative on the forums and amongst the fans that we are broke, the budget has been slashed and we'll really struggle as a consequence. I don't believe this is the case (I mean, we may really struggle-new inexperienced manager etc..- but if we do, I don't think the set budget will be the main factor). However, the club has done very little to address this narrative and reassure the fans.

Little to disagree with in that.

Re season tickets, can you pick them up from Firhill? can't remember if that was an option!

Also the badges, when will they be available for collection?

"Supporters will once again have the option of either a digital ticket on your mobile device or a physical season ticket card that can be purchased for an additional £10 fee. All supporters are automatically opted in to this option – if you don’t wish a card, you can edit this option off within the renewal process.

Anyone purchasing a card should check their address when purchasing. Cards will be produced by Fanbase and delivered to the account address ahead of the new season.

The previous season ticket card you had until this point will no longer work ahead of the new season."

Not sure about the bages as I did not go for that package.

If only the club sold the club on this basis.

You need a bit of bravado at this stage of the season to get sales of season tickets, strips and hospitality over the line.

I see the club has now announced the badges are available for collection. From "The Wyre Stadium at Firhill". Is that from the office, ticket booth, club shop or elsewhere? Yet another example of poor communication, assuming your customers know what you mean.
