A tough start with away to St Johnstone and Ross C in first 3 games.

And what will be the Imrie grudge/revenge/I didn’t want your stinking job anyway match in between. Boxing gloves for him and Rae on the touch line.

Queens Park v Thistle on 27th December 2025 could be disappointing timing, given that very few Thistle supporters will be able to attend. No doubt many Thistle fans who return from places further afield to Glasgow for the festive season would have fancied following Thistle on the road and sampling the unique atmosphere of an away match. That may prove impossible for them (and indeed also for many of us who dwell in Glasgow and neighbouring areas).

Aye, good thinking to have a local derby around this time. Bad thinking that to so many of us it'll be purely academic.

No midweek games ?

The Challenge Cup is all midweek this season - 9/10 December; 6/7 January; 27/28 January; 24/25 February; 28/29 March OR 4/5 April.

I think only three league games could move to midweek slots, which would be matchday 7 (at home to Ayr United), matchday 28 (away to Raith Rovers), and matchday 34 (away to Airdrieonians) dependent on whether either of us progress to the Quarter Final of the League Cup or Quarter Final or Semi Final of the Scottish Cup, respectively.

Obviously there's the possibility of weather related call-offs too...

Thinking aloud here...

I wonder if the Clubs might discuss the possibility of reversing the fixtures.

I can’t see why QP would want to do that. No benefit to them

No real disadvantage to them, and would bring a lot of goodwill.

The one advantage here is that the two clubs have got six months to work something sensible out here so that you don’t have 800+ people who would otherwise have watched this game simply going to the Boxing Day sales.

I think that I would give the Boxing Day sales a miss and stay at home and listen on JagZone.

Picking up a point made at the TJF AGM last night, I would happily act as Auxiliary Fan Liaison Officer that day if it gets me into the game!

Could work either way. Perhaps neither St J or County will be up to speed Unlike us 🙂. The home games against Raith & Morton could be the bigger worry.

I agree with the above. St Johnstone especially have no recent experience of the championship and will be bedding themselves in.  Ross County  will also be bedding themselves in to the championship. I think we should look forward to these two games with confidence. In the same vein Raith and Morton are not the same teams they were in recent seasons. Raith , for example  have lost Stanton and not sure but have Morton signed anyone yet?

We have the core ot a good team and have made two decent signings albeit the focus seems to be at the moment on the behind the scenes roles. A few more decent signings and him sure we can begin to have a more positive perception of the coming season.
