Who knows what happens here.
Back to 4-3-3 I take it. Captain to b rested so he’s not suspended along with D.O.R for Ayr game. So McBeth back in. If everyone else is fit, go strong and rest some on Saturday ( no offence Forfar)

We really need to make sure we beat Forfar and get ourselves into the first round proper of the Scottish Cup (unlike last season).

I would see Cove away as a more natural opportunity to rest key players.

Is Ashcroft only one booking away from a suspension? If so, I can see your point, but difficult to imagine voluntarily dropping him when playing such strong opposition. He is our captain and a key player.

Stanway in the squad again is great news. If we revert to 4-3-3, he could come straight back in. No doubt Wilson will judge whether that is the right call. Even if not, such a good player to have coming on later.

I’ve only watched the first 30 mins so far, but it’s a very interesting interview so far. Worth a watch/listen

Aye, I've just finished it. Speaks very well and very open on how he got here.

Considering people were skeptical about Alex Rae at first I wonder how they would have reacted to his first choice 🤣

This is going to be a very tight game if both teams play to their 'good/best' form.

You can't put a wafer between them as the form tables (Soccer Stats) show.  There are only very minor differences in results over the past 4, 6, & 8 weeks.

I'n fact the BBC league table also gives the sequence of the last six results and they are exactly the same for both teams in terms of games W, D & L .

Its only when form over the past 10 and 12 weeks is reviewed that significant differences emerge. This reflects Dunfermline's poor start to the season.

We might have to settle for a draw tonight in a game that could go either way.

I've watch highlights of the Fifers and i was impressed by how they move the ball around the park. They are  much better than us.

However I'll stick with 3-1 the Jags hoping that home advantage and a noisey support can get us over the line.

I would like to see us stick with the 2 upfront and kill the game off before half time, please not another 26 minutes at the end like we had on Saturday......

Surely playing 2 up front contributed to that as we did not have a forward once those 2 had to come off early.

For what it's worth I think we'll be back to the tried and tested tonight

We're making a right good go of it. I still reckon St Johnstone will have the edge, but I think most people do and maybe that suits us.

The great thing about pulling away from the rest is that it only takes St Johnstone to fall away, we keep ticking over, and the title is there for the taking.

Defence was decent, they never looked like scoring, Clarke had hee haw to do, but we just looked gubbed after the St Johnstone game. No urgency, pace, width, then we brought on Samuel after an hour and just gave up, hoping they wouldn’t score. Terrible performance but a wins a win. Need to add some pace upfront, Watt and Samuel are too similar.

Not a great game, but another very good 3 points. McBeth had a very good game and deserved his motm. Did seem unusual looking to score at the Lambie end in the second half. Watt unlucky with his shot that came of the post. Level at the top with St. Johnstone and 12 points ahead of 5th. Another 2 difficult away games after we take on Forfar in the cup.
