I spoke to Robbie Crawford at the calendar signing last night, and sadly he is out for a few more weeks.

While I agree with a certain amount of freshening up, and I take the point about loan players perhaps not being available, to leave all of Chalmers, Stanway and Lets'osa out seems to deprive us of a lot of pace, energy, creativity and (dare I say?) expected goals!

We have to win, so I would be looking for a bit closer to our strongest team, with of course plenty of room for substitutions, depending on how the game is going.

What happened? He came on last Saturday but I noticed he was absent on Tuesday

If they want to recall him or move him on in January, then it makes sense

The logic, in the past when there were no restrictions on transfers, was that a club could sign a player just prior to a cup tie. But now, when there are only the 2 windows, that logic doesn’t apply.

Calf injury

Don't know if Thistle employ a VET to attend to the injured calf - but they once owned a horse.

My money's on Donald! The "Daily Record" 17/9/1907 suggested that a charity match might be held involving the horses owned by Thistle, Celtic and Queen's Park. In pre-motorised days, horses were used to pull heavy rollers. Club presidents would be the jockeys. Needless to say the race never took place but the paper suggested if it had, Donald would have been favourite.

That's what probably spawned the two-horse race the league became.

Just a straight draw to the best of my knowledge (however I expect Rangers to be at home - again).

We've mastered the art of producing draws that are neither random or seeded.

The hardest done by team in the whole world, have manged a run of reds on the roulette wheel that defies logic and mathematics.

They feel no shame, just a sense of injustice.

Incredible really.
