exiledjag
I couldn't see any reference to this anywhere else so thought I would give it a go. The topic might be a waste as there seems to be a general view that we either don't have any money ti bring new players into the club or that we don't need any additional players or both. So do we need to strengthen any positions. I was reading that Adeloye will be leaving Morton soon. He did well when he played for the Jags and I wascsurprised we didn't sign him when he recovered from his injury. Is he worth signing? lady-isobel-barnett
Ideally want to see Ricco going back out on loan. in that case I'd be happy enough with Adeloye on the bench if he's 100% fit. If Diack has been recalled as we've not got the finances then we'll not be signing any centre forward. Cover at left centreback to me is the priority. Don't know the reasons tho' he was only used as a sub there.
thornwoodjag
I believe Ricco is here to stay which would stop the hunt for another striker. Adeloye is defo not someone we need, wouldn’t do half the work Tony and Alex do. Dom Thomas is probably wanted by all the other championship clubs so I’d imagine we’d be in the mix. Before starting the January thread I looked at the menu/topics list and noted that the last entry was May 2025. I didn't realise that this date was actually the start date. My mistake. I still think a topic covering the January transfer is appropriate as it allows the opportunity to address issues and needs apparent at this time of the season which may not have been apparent or relevent in May. But thanks again.

In his post-match interview he said that he hadn't even met his team-mates before the match! Good luck to him (and to the Lichties, punching above their weight yet again. At present I certainly wouldn't bet on us beating them over two legs in a play-off.)

Fawlty Towers
My understanding is that we’ve got bids in for a couple of players at the moment, and there’s at least one first-team player who we’re trying to move on this month. I think these things just take a little time in the January window because there’s often a lot of moving parts! From the journalist James Cairney. PTFC1942
Due to the lack of player transfer action it would appear there is no money available which I believe is very strange as I don’t believe the board budgeted for the very good crowds that have been turning up for the games. Where is the money going?

laukat
I wonder if our transfer plans will change depending on our Scottish Cup tie? If we got through against Montrose and got an away tie at one of the 2 cheeks would Wilson be able to get in a couple of better players? I wonder what is meant by “we’ve got bids in for a couple of players at the moment”. Does that mean we have submitted bids to other clubs, or we have received bids to take players away. Could read that one either way

Adding playoffs put average to 3850 for all. In total 88559 in attendance over 23 games for 24/25 For this season average counting all games is 3715, league only is 3601. In total 55739 in attendance for 15 games for 25/26 We are actually up on average attendance so far this season (removing playoffs) due to Celtic, but on league only we are down by around 350. ”
