Not just the frost will be an issue. I'm in Aberdeen and even in the city centre we've got nearly 12 inches of snow on the ground. The whole North East is the same. Buses and trains off too. Dunno what it's like in Inverness and highland areas, but if similar I'd doubt the wee Thistle team could travel.

Do we not have / use undersoil heating?

Always thought we had it.

It was on for Saturday but probably not cost effective putting it on for a game that will probably scrape barely over 1000 and that's also on tv

Imo we should play a stronger team now that this game is getting played at a better time regarding space in between games. I think that Chalmers, Lets'osa and Ashcroft have lost a bit of form in recent games and i think that Smyth will probably be stopped from playing in the Scottish cup game by St.Mirren. With that in mind i would start with McBeth, Turner, Martin and lawless in this game and if we play well and get a positive result i would keep the same team for the Montrose game. I am also not sure about how effective Watt is playing out on the wing for most of the game as he seemed to do last night.

As i have a ticket it won't affect me but i have checked the schedule for ALBA for next Tuesday and the game is not on it.

What on earth is the thinking behind having Watt out on the wing? He's too slow to hope to get past any defender when in possession or in any race for the ball. If it's just to knock some passes on to somebody making a run inside, then anybody can do that.... we're leaving ourselves short on one of our "strikers".

It used to do my nut in when Doolan was instructed to stay out on the wing, where he was totally wasted (I think it was McCall who did this sometimes).

I may be wrong, but I think that Watt was played a lot (and to good effect) on the wing in the DU championship winning side.

We seem to have quite a few players out for this game

Yes, Wilson said Watt, McPherson, Stanway have been unwell recently. If we assume the three of them are rested then:

Clarke (or does he opt for Bud?)

Logan, Reading, OReilly, Ashcroft or McBeth

Martin, Letsosa, Turner

Chalmers, Samuel, Fitzpatrick

Subs: Clarke/Bud, Ashcroft/McBeth, Lawless, Diack (now fit)… plus youngsters

Crawford back training.

These cup ties are really all about how we play. If we play well (and as we know we can) then we will win.

If we don't play well (which is what we have been doing) then we could be in line for a 'shock'!

What we must do is put as much effort and commitment into these games as ICT and Montrose.  Failure  to do at least this will be criminal!!!

Since their 9 goal battering of Dumbarton in last round ICT have been on a sticky run picking up just one point from possible 9 in last 3 league games including defeat to Saturdays opponents Montrose and their fans on P&B none too enamoured with recent displays so fingers crossed that continues tonight.
