Ross C have just tweeted the below in last half hour so will start match thread.  Safe travels to all heading up.

“Tonight’s match versus Partick Thistle is ON.

If you're attending the match, make sure you leave early, check and follow all traffic information and instructions and wear suitable clothing for what is set to be a cold one.

Areas surrounding the stadium and in the town are still frozen, so be careful and wear appropriate footwear. “

Four posts in and no one has mentioned the game itself, and I'm not going to buck the trend. I often state that SFA/SPFL don't give a toss about the fans. Nothing changed today but the BBC have to also shoulder the blame. Selecting a match home or away involving Ross Co at this time of the year is both madness and highly insensitive.

The Polis up there should be stepping in here if travelling conditions are such as travel should be avoided. Certainly better use of their power than selecting which end to take a penalty shoot out.

Booked into the Premier Inn with a view to my usual combination of Friday evening football/Saturday morning local parkrun. 3 of the 4 parkruns within reach already cancelled, with Nairn still hanging on in hope.

I know how hard local organisers try to put these events on even in adverse weather, so that is probably commentary enough on conditions in the area.

The annoying thing is that I opted for continental breakfast, so as to be in reasonable shape for running. If I had known that all local runs might be cancelled, I would have gone for full cooked breakfast!

If memory serves me right there used to be a January break, which would be welcome this year at least.  On the same topic, I cannnot understand why Saturday games are mostly 3.00 kick offs - a legacy of 5 1/2 day weeks that are long gone - and require clubs to switch on the floodlights.  Earlier KO's would not affect attendances and would save money.  The game tonight should have been postponed for safety reasons w.r.t. travelling fans.

Do we go back to the 433 that has been succesful against them 3 times so far or will Watt and Samuel start again?

Does Smyth come straight back into the team?

Does KT deserve a start?

I think Wilson said there was a bug going about the team so I suppose it depends who is fit. I’d be going 433 again.

Clarke, McPherson, Ashcroft, DOR, Reading, Stanway, Smyth, Letsosa, Chalmers, Watt, Fitzy.

Mon the Jags!

I’m guessing it will be something like a 2-3-1-3-1 due to players’ sweaty shirts freezing together.

They do have a decent squad & will eventually come good. Kettlewell might be the man to do it

Can I see any of your workings for these statements? The factual evidence doesn't back up any of them from what I can see?

Thet have a bloated squad but struggle to field a settled eleven. Their best player, Ronan Hale is a quality player but he is likely gone in January.

They have been circling the drain going back to that playoff game and are now firmly in a downward spiral.

Kettlewell has just been emptied for a terrible start to the season and adrift of 10tg place. He was also found out at Motherwell and already chased out of Dingwall.

They might stay up but they need a lot of work from top to bottom to contemplate getting back to the top-flight. Id say they could go down another league before that.

Despite all that I think this will be a tough match and getting an away win is vital to keeping the dream of automatic promotion alive.

If we play like the first-half of the QP game and second-half of the Airdrieonians game we should not be dar away of bringing the three points back home.

Ross County 1 Partick Thistle 3

It’s only an opinion. They do have some decent players & I only said Kettlewell MIGHT be the man to sort them out.

I’ll be happy to be proved wrong but even you agreed it’ll be a tough match

All games are tough in this league. I appreciate it was just an opinion and I hope I'm right too 🫡🤣
