CotterJag
I know we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves in the Cup but I can't help wondering if Rangers will get Dunfermline or Kelty Hearts at Ibrox in the next round.

Jimmy McD
Just checked the weather for Elgin, and it's showing rain for the next 48 hours, let's hope we don't get a waterlogged pitch for Saturday.

I think it's light rain - not the biblical stuff. So should be OK.
1876
There should be a weather update before the decision of the supporters buses leave Glasgow same for those travelling by train or car
thornwoodjag
I think we see the strongest team possible for this. Don’t think we need 3 centre half’s for Elgin. Clarke, McPherson, Ashcroft, DOR, Paddy Then any 3 from Martin,Stanway,Crawford Turner. Don’t think wee T is making it. Front 3, I’d have Aidan back in with Taylor on other side and either Watt or Samuel.
partickthedog
Just phoned Elgin City office. No weather or pitch issues there. He was happy to confirm that the game would definitely be on! 1

Yeah very much with the financial incentive for winning this tie its our most important game of the season to date.
Jimmy McD
Got to go for the Jugular from the off, no tippy tappy nonsense, 2 up within the first 20 minutes, and go from there.. give us all something to cheer about after the journey up.. Very thoughtful and impressive by Elgin City (and by you too, FT!)

For the guaranteed funds id say this more so as you can always rectify the league next week or others dropping points, lose tomorrow and we have chucked a six figure sum down the toilet. It would also be extremely embarrassing. Elgin are presently the bottom team in the league in terms of actual points won (i.e., ignoring point deductions). Auld Jag
Ran out of likes. Agree with everybody who says play the strongest team possible. Most of us like to see the underdog win, but not when it is against your team.

eljaggo
You look how I feel. Bought a ticket, but down with some bug so won't make it to Elgin.

lady-isobel-barnett
Found a nearby pub. Beers reasonable prices. Whisky is only 25ml but their malt of the month a fair £2.60.

westertonjagfan
All the best to everyone travelling. I travelled a lot to Elgin for work for years and it's a cracking place. I worked for a week in Borough Briggs and it's a cracking ground as well. If you've got time before or after the game, a quick wander to the Cathedral is well worth it. Mon the jags...
